What firmware version is the most stable for wireless on ASUS RT-AC66U router?

I would recommend John's 374_fork for max wifi stability and I'd say stability overall; As to the mounting the large usb drive I don't know for sure which would be better my working assumption is there should be little difference, though perhaps the Latest Merlin's (alpha or not) *might have...

Good news indeed, glad they seem to be making it a priority\focus for the near term.

    User NVRAM Save/Restore Utility (R26.2)

Yeah this is a incredibly helpful and time-saving utility. Add my voice to those asking for a sticky or given the concern about too many stickies a mention and link to it in the wiki.

How to change the WAN-MAC-Address via console??? RT-AC87U

fwiw I would dump the contents of nvram show to a file, change via wan -mac clone webgui page, then dump the contents of nvram again and compare the difference as to what changed.

    RT-AC68U port forwarding issues

If it's just a gui glitch then you should probably see them in vts_rulelist nvram show |grep vts_rulelist I don't know if it's a known issue or not, I'm on a ac68 with 374.43 fork and haven't had them disappear on me, in the gui or otherwise yet.

    udhcpc wrapper?

Only hook I know of for trapping dhcp-events are those mentioned in https://github.com/RMerl/asuswrt-merlin/wiki/User-scripts As I recall there isn't one for the [on-successful lease renewal] per say but "renew" and "bound" may fit your purpose, it may not though as it may get fired...

    Comcast IPv6 /60 assignment

You would think so...but in my limited experience, it does not seem too. A reboot always seems to be necessary for it yank another ip6 addr\prefix from Comcast after one is released, or so has been the case with my AC68 & SB6141. :( I only asked cause while I didn't spend much time on it I...

    Comcast IPv6 /60 assignment

    Can I ask first if you are even successfully pulling a /60 with: prefix ::/60 infinity; prefix-interface br0 { sla-id 1; sla-len 4; }; and Asus\Merlin firmware?

    IPv6 ICMP Echo Response

If you don't want said RFC behavior however to your clients: ip6tables -D FORWARD -p ipv6-icmp --icmpv6-type 128 -j ACCEPT ip6tables -D FORWARD -p ipv6-icmp --icmpv6-type 129 -j ACCEPT In firewall-start script will block responses to unsolicited echo requests while still allowing solicited...

Native IPv6 for Merlin's Firmware Not Working

Sure. Goto IPv6 firewall page click + sign and enter a rule with the following info. Name: CCastDHCP6 RemoteIP:FE80::/10 LocalIP:FE80::/10 ports: 546,547 Proto: UDP Should ensure requests to dhcp6 servers listening on 547 and responses back from same to the client listening on 546 for...

Skynet Skynet - Router Firewall & Security Enhancements

This script looks quite helpful. Is it still available? http://198.23.248.102/Public/firewall.sh --> seems to be down or not reachable at the moment. Is there a updated location I missed?

Native IPv6 for Merlin's Firmware Not Working

Native-PD and Stateful If it's any help this is what I had to do to get Native-PD + Stateful working right on my AC68. I don't think the stateful part really has to do with Comcast but I could be wrong. Granted I'm on still on john's 374 fork but the pd+stateful issue I think exists in the 376...

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

HorstG, 1. I do not believe so, most if not all security related fixes have been back ported to this firmware. 2. I do not have an informed anwser about DFS, but someone else might. 3. I've read people say better signals strength with this line of builds, as for performance itself I can't say...

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

Probably safest to do a reset first. Then install the firmware. Then for good measure reset again, as they are quite different versions. This might help avoid most (maybe not all) of the re-typing. User NVRAM Save/Restore Utility http://forums.smallnetbuilder.com/showthread.php?t=19521...
