    NUT Server

Been running solid on my router and all 3 nodes since I last commented in that thread. For the ups units (tvs) I've installed NUT on esp32s3's connected to them. All hooked to Home Assistant.

    Block AI Crawlers

Played around with this some and it's not as complicated as I thought it might be. Would still need to automate moving the file to the router but it works. High-level but can add more detail if anyone wants. 1. Created a new action conf for fail2ban that echos the ip out (appending) to a file...

Back at this. @Maverickcdn - I am getting a bit more involved in my fail2ban setup so curious if you have the steps you are using to add them to a blacklist that then makes its way to the router. Wonder if it'd be just as easy to write these ips to a txt file that is stored on the router and...

Skynet What are some good current block lists? - Skynet

Edit: I saw the previous user mention Windscribe so made a connection but I don't think there is one. I had tested with skynet disabled last night but I must have botched that test as today it doesn't matter if skynet is on or off - udp fails. So looks like just a matter of bad timing with me...

Skynet What are some good current block lists? - Skynet

Thanks for the reply (and the list). By server IP, you mean my router's external IP right? The problem there is my ISP won't provide a static ip sinc I am not a business so I rely on the router performing DDNS update. My ovpn file has to be updated to have the domain instead of the IP like...

Skynet What are some good current block lists? - Skynet

I switched from the default list to https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ViktorJp/Skynet/main/filter.list today and also noticed that I was unable to externally connect to my openvpn server (on the router) from Windscribe. I changed it to TCP (from UDP) (same custom port defined in the Advanced...

Skynet What are some good current block lists? - Skynet

I believe: filter.list = not aggregated myfilter.list = aggregated My limited understanding would be if going with one of those, go with aggregated.

    Skynet Passthrough single device Skynet

Short answer based on researching this no long ago: No, not possible due to design

Entware Asus Merlin Entware NUT Server

Changed things with my setup and finally getting back to really setting this up. I stuck with the first post but got rid of some I didn't need/want for my use case. Adding it here and some notes mainly so I have something to reference if/when I forget. All credit goes to busch09 for the OP and...

RT-AX86U losing internet at 3 different locations

I don't recall if I was on 388.9_0 or not on any of the units before going to 9_2 so I would have to say 388.8_4. I meant to mention since I know it's important that I did NOT do a clean flash going to 9_2. Admittedly for my own unit it's laziness but for the other two it's because I flash them...

RT-AX86U losing internet at 3 different locations

Everything has been rock solid at all 3 sites (my house and two family members houses) for months/years. Lately at all three the RT-AX86U main routers have to be reset daily to regain internet. My setup is a bit more customized with add ons, OpenDSN, vpn, etc but the other two are bare bones...

Regular monitoring of devices connected to the router:

I've been playing around with NetAlertX and it seems pretty slick. It doesn't do traffic though that I am aware of. https://netalertx.com/

Thanks. I am also using Fail2Ban and it's actually what is catching the status codes that nginx is spitting out and banning them (temporarily) that way. Which does work well. Fair point in keeping things off the router.
