Do you have any link to the official statement? ASUS did list the 87U on the AiMesh support initially so I'll be a bit annoyed if they U-turn on that.

Once again excellent work RMerlin :) I installed 380.66 on both my ac87u and ac68u only thing though there is still an issue connecting to the rt-ac87u route over 5ghz from an rt-ac68u setup in repeater mode. Works fine on 2.4ghz. I guess the quantenna drivers havent had any updates

Hi, could you send me a link to the latest rt-ac87u firmware with the older working quantenna firmware so it works with a repeater on 5ghz band. Cheers.

Hi, I have an rt-ac68u in repeater mode connecting to an rt-ac87u router, both on latest merlin 380.65 firmware. However there seems to be an issue with the dhcp on the repeater when trying to connect via the 5GHz wifi band. Also when scanning for the wifi the rt-ac68u shows no 5g networks...

Seems there is still the same issue (ac68u not staying connected in repeater mode on 5ghz band) with the following firmwares: RT-AC68U in repeater mode: 3.0.0.4.380_4164 RT-AC87U: Merlin 380.63_2

For the ac68u or the ac87u? And do you know if the 68u will now connect on 5ghz to the 87u? Thanks

Hi all, I have searched far and wide for a fix for my issue but to no avail as of yet so here goes.... I have a new RT-87U router which is connected to my WAN (via a crappy modem) and the aim is to connect my older RT-68U as a wireless repeater, both are running the latest Merlin (great job...

I do this with an RT-N56U and a RT-AC68U so pretty much same. I use padavans firmware on the RT-N56U set in AP-client mode on the 5ghz connecting to the RT-AC68U using merlins latest FW. Works fine except I am getting occasional disconnections but these don't seem to affect day to day use.

I am pretty sure this in not my ISP as I have had all ports stealthed previously. I realise a closed port isn't a real security risk but I would rather have them stealthed in case a service defaults to one of the ports and hence opens it up. The FTP ports are definitely affected by the nat, in...
