[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

Oops your right. Typo. I have an AC66R. No USB drives connected. I just updated to 20e9 without issues. I'll try 22e4 again now. UPDATE: I was able to update to 22e4 just fine now after first updating to 20e9.

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

I just wanted to say tank you for these releases. I've been using them for years now and love them. Thank you, Thank you. I have a minor issue. I just tried updating to 22e4 from 17e8, but it didn't take. The firmware uploaded fine, but when the router restarts, I still see it is using 17e8...

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

Thank you for this firmware fork. I was having issues with my 2.4 GHZ wireless cutting out sporadically recently using Merlin 378.55. I stumbled upon some threads mentioning this fork gave better wireless signal, so I figured I'd give it a shot. I am glad I did. Not only did it fix the flaky 2.4...

    Sporadic Wireless Connections?

I have noticed similar issues with my 2.4 ghz wireless. The 2.4 ghz would actually turn off and then back on again repeatedly. It just started randomly. After trying multiple resets and wireless settings it kept happening. Finally one last ditch attempt I turned off wireless protection settings...

Accessing Plex Remotely broken on 376.48_1

I was having the same issue connection to various services on my server through my DDNS. Thankfully toggling that setting fixed it. For what it's worth, I did not have this issue with an earlier version of your firmware. I think it was 374.xx. I can't recall exactly which exact version I had.

    Prefer AP over router

My laptop is staying connected to my router even though I am in the same room as the AP, which has a much stronger signal. Router: Dlink DIR-655 AP: Dlink DAP-1522 Laptop NIC: Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 3945ABG I have tried with the router and AP on the same channel as well as different channels...

    Need a bridge (I think).

Doing a bit of digging I found these 2 affordable rack mountable switches with POE: SMCGS8P-Smart EZ Switch Newegg $249.99 TPE-80WS Newegg $259.99 I need a rack mountable switch for my workstation/NAS rack in the office anyhow. So one of these might be the way to go. Now I need to look around...

    Need a bridge (I think).

Thanks for the reply. I've seen the POE injectors, but that just means something plugged in somewhere else. I was hoping there was a router that already does that, so one less thing has to be plugged into the wall. I saw the review for the DAP-2553, which has POE. But it has only the one port...

    Need a bridge (I think).

I have a Dlink DIR-655 router in my office which is at the far end of my 2000 sq. foot 1 level house from my media room. I have 1 cat 5 cable running to the media room from the router. In the media room I have my HTPC hardwired to that one cable. The main problem is my wife's laptop and our...
