    Intermittent Powerline Dropout

Which Devolo's ? The Devolo dLAN 1200+ is not Broadcom, it is also the QCA 7500. In my experience, these suffer from the same random dropouts as e.g. the TPlink TL-PA8010 or PA8030. Tp-Links TL-PA9020 uses the BCM60500. The promised 2 Gbps is clearly non sense. I have link speeds close to...

    Intermittent Powerline Dropout

No, but the new Broadcom based TPLink AV2000s have worked rock solid for me, for weeks. However, switched to MoCA now. I only got about 70 Mbps, really wanted the full 110 Mbps out of my DSL.

Help with MoCA setup. Two ECB6200s, only getting 95 Mbps.

Same here in Europe. Ziggo (cable provider) uses MOCA to stream video from the STB to satellite receivers in e.g. your bedroom. In this way you don't need a full blown STB to watch cable TV in other rooms.

Help with MoCA setup. Two ECB6200s, only getting 95 Mbps.

Yup: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00UH2O6T2/?tag=smallncom-21 Just 10/100 Mbps Ethernet. Actually... sfx2000... I have a very stupid question myself. Does this matter ? OAP (= cable connection from provider) => a coax cable => MOCA filter => 1st MOCA demod => rest of house OAP => MOCA filter...

    TL-PA9020P ethernet teaming

I have used these for more than a week, rock stable and slightly better performance than the TL-PA80x0 series. However, went for the MOCA route now.

    TP-LINK TL-PA8030P Reviewed

My TL-PA9020Ps for some reason decided to go up to 70 Mbps (from 50 Mbps) for two days in a row now. I didn't change a thing with respect to minimizing interference. Received my MOCA 2.0 package (2 demods, cables), but I have to rework my switchboard / utilities cabinet a bit to make it fit, so...

Expired? - was [PSA] TP-Link PowerLine AV500 Refund Program

In a similar way Volkwagen compensates US customers, while European ones just have to shut up and accept some engine/SW fix. The mysterious ways of consumer law. Seeing this.. makes we wonder when they will do the same for AV2 powerline units. Does someone have more background on this ...

    Updated MOCA 2.0 Actiontec ECB6200

Yes, but I just see one coax from one box to the other. Would love to see his performance when you really insert the MOCA sideband signal into an existing cable setup. So you have all noise, reflections etc. I am getting Hirschmann MOCA 2.0 boxes on tuesday. Will report back.

    TP-LINK TL-PA8030P Reviewed

Thanks. Actually it's interesting to see that TP Links tool reports a link speed of close to 1400 Mbps, but the actual network speed (via Ookla) to the outside world is 55 Mbps. So that's an overhead of 25x per bit. I returned the other Powerline units I ordered and kept the PA9020Ps. However...

    TP-LINK Announces Combo HomePlug AV2 / AC1200 Wi-Fi Extender

I raised a few tickets with their customer support, but so far their reaction is "uh ? problems ?". I'm using the AV2000 TP-Link for a couple of days now and so far it's very stable. Only disappointed that the bitrate is similar to their AV1200 products. I've only seen higher speeds before the...

    TP-LINK TL-PA8030P Reviewed

The PHY rate is confusing. I still remember my first reaction with Devolo's tool when you see "900 Mbps" pop up. Then it turns out this is bi-directional and has no relation to the actual (ethernet) bit rate. In my case this was 50-70 Mbps from my VDSL connection. Found this presentation...

    TP-LINK TL-PA8030P Reviewed

Thanks for the story. I also got the PA8030P kit in yesterday, but didn't open the box yet. I swapped my PA8010P kit for the P9020Ps yesterday. I didnt have time for thorough testing, but my impression so far: - Performance in my home is about the same as the PA8010Ps. Let's say 50 MB/s (guess...

    TP-LINK TL-PA8030P Reviewed

I have to give it probably a few days to see if dropouts occur. My network is also nothing special. The VDSL modem is in the switchboard ("meterkast in Dutch"). The first TP-Link is there as well, which ultimately connects to a 2nd unit in the living room. Both are on the same circuit. I had...

    TP-LINK TL-PA8030P Reviewed

I got fed up with the random dropouts of two TL-PA8010Ps. TP-Link released new firmware in February, but still dropouts. In the change notes there is a mysterious remark about power levels (according to standard) and more compliance stuff. Tomorrow I want to try three different units: TL-TP8030P...
