    D-Link DSL-2750B, it's what Verizon sent me to use, at $11.00 per month rental, OUCH! . I've never set up a real router before but I'll just follow the manual that comes with the AC3100 !

    Best Buy has it on sale for $191.99 (RT-AC3100) so I bought one, supposed to be here Sat. That's cheaper then the AC1900P they wanted $199,99 for it.

    Good question, I would think the 1 GHz ones would be better, but what I gather from the router ranker it's not that way, also I hadn't heard that the AC68U is now coming with a a 1GHz processor, when did that happen? It's sometimes very hard to decipher tests or statements when they are not...

    Thanks for your reply. From what I have been able to gather from Mr. Wiggins (spelling?) analysis of the 1900 class routers (Asus), there is hardly any worthwhile difference between the AC68U and AC68P and derivatives, at least that's the way I read it. If anyone see's it differently show me...

    In the router ranker the Asus AC68U seems to be #1 in practically every category and the 68P isn't even mentioned. Is the 68P not considered in the rankings are what. Is the ranker correct?

    From what I have been able to learn on this forum, most if not all think very highly of Asus and have indicated why vs some other brands in a very efficient and everyday language that is very helpful to new people.     I guess it's just the way I do things. Sorry if it upsets you are anyone else. I wrote them because no one really seems to know what differences are in the different versions or if the "V3" actually means 3 different versions.
