D-Link DSL-2750B, it's what Verizon sent me to use, at $11.00 per month rental, OUCH! . I've never set up a real router before but I'll just follow the manual that comes with the AC3100 !

Best Buy has it on sale for $191.99 (RT-AC3100) so I bought one, supposed to be here Sat. That's cheaper then the AC1900P they wanted $199,99 for it.

I thought the RT-AC3100 and the AC1900P were essentially the same equipment inside. Is this not correct? Let me know fast time is running out for Black Friday!

For those that own or know about, has the AC1900P shown to be reliable? Is there any downside to it that I should be aware of before buying? Hoping for it to go on sale this week (Black Friday).

I would like to know the latest version number of the RT-AC1900P and if anyone has Verizon, are their any problems setting up this router with their hardware.

Good question, I would think the 1 GHz ones would be better, but what I gather from the router ranker it's not that way, also I hadn't heard that the AC68U is now coming with a a 1GHz processor, when did that happen? It's sometimes very hard to decipher tests or statements when they are not...

Looking at that data it would appear I was wrong, however those dates don't always correspond to a week, however I was only looking at the Asus RT-AC1900P...

Thanks for your reply. From what I have been able to gather from Mr. Wiggins (spelling?) analysis of the 1900 class routers (Asus), there is hardly any worthwhile difference between the AC68U and AC68P and derivatives, at least that's the way I read it. If anyone see's it differently show me...

Has anyone noticed that Amazon has raised the prices on ALL routers within the last couple weeks? I guess they're getting ready for Black Fri :D:rolleyes:

In the router ranker the Asus AC68U seems to be #1 in practically every category and the 68P isn't even mentioned. Is the 68P not considered in the rankings are what. Is the ranker correct?

I haven't seen anyone say anything about this, might be old news, however I found it very interesting since I'm in the market for a dash camera now.

From what I have been able to learn on this forum, most if not all think very highly of Asus and have indicated why vs some other brands in a very efficient and everyday language that is very helpful to new people. I also think they tell it as they see it for all brands, what more could one want...

I guess it's just the way I do things. Sorry if it upsets you are anyone else. I wrote them because no one really seems to know what differences are in the different versions or if the "V3" actually means 3 different versions.
