For the sake of testing, could you assign a fixed (static) IP to the WAN port (the one DMZ-ed on the 1st router), then Mask and GW, but don't add any DNS yet, or at least don't point to 1st router, use a public DNS. You could later assign DNS1/2 to clients trough DHCP on the 2nd router. One...

What kind of switch do you have? Maybe it has VLANs active on some ports? If NAT is active on 2nd router, as ColinTaylor says, it's to be expected... either put it into AP mode or open access from WAN (i.e. 1st router).
