Aimesh roaming with Verizon wifi calling and YouTube casting

If I walk between router zones it drops the call with wifi calling and while I'm YouTube casting it will replay the last video when I move between zones. 45149, 2 66u b1's in wired backhaul, working fine otherwise. All devices on 5ghz. Any methods to eliminate this?

    RT-AC68U types Firmware version 3.0.0.4.384_45149 for RT-AC68U/R/W/P, RT-AC1900/U/P and RT-AC66U_B1

I updated without defaults, I have a wired backhaul to 2nd router on Aimesh. Do I have to factory reset mesh router with button and reconfigure or easiest way to reset both and reconfigure? 2nd router is on ceiling and would be work to take down and do it manually.

    AC66U-B1 Firmware version 3.0.0.4.384_32738

I'm using with 2 ac66u b1, wired backhaul aimesh... the node router loses 5ghz radio after a few days, 5ghz light also off on router. A power cycle brings it back. Main router does not lose either radio ever. Hmm.

How Are You Creating An AiMesh Network?

I just bought and installed two refurb ac66ub1's with latest 21045 factory ac68u firmware. House is 43x32x20, main router on top floor, 2nd router is in 36x24 attached garage wired to WAN port on gigabit near ceiling. I disabled NAT acceleration because my internet speed is 150mbit and...

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

I guess I don't understand how it's listed as vulnerable but nobody knows the extent to which, if any.

So if you have N66, there is no way to safeguard against the exploit correct?

    VPNFilter Malware

So RT-N66 is or is not vulnerable on merlin 380.70 or newest john fork? I see asus released a 382 update mid may 2018.

Planning a major overhaul, critique my purchase plan!

Why prefer pro over lr? I'm replacing rtn66u which is randomly rebooting now. I'm in the same boat and I install ubiquiti stuff at work but usually use usg/cloudkey/ap pros ... at home I was going to do edgerouter and 2 ap lr

does the newest build reduce range on N66U? I thought the older wireless driver was a lot of the N66's range magic?

ah, thank you! I think I got it? admin@RT-N66R-E740:/tmp/home/root# nvram show | grep TxPower wl_TxPower=120 wl0_TxPower=120 size: 40929 bytes (24607 left)

I have a USA rtn66u, all i intend to do is get 2.4 and 5ghz to 120mw, they're both on low channels and at 100mw currently (set 120mw via gui) edit: I can get wl_txpower to stay @ 120, wl0/wl1 will not.

how would I get my RT-N66U to 120mw? Mine is stuck at 100mw, what country code commands are needed?

Is the n66 using this firmware still the range leader? anyone using higher gain antennas or waste of money/effort?

I haven't posted about this without testing several firmware revisions but at least on my particular RT-N66U any build newer than 17E8 creates problems using the 2.4ghz radio (constant buffering or connectivity intermittently unavailable), switching to 5ghz radio works perfectly. Any ideas...
