Assistance Needed for Network Configuration: Removing ISP Router

Yes, I have tried connecting a MacBook directly to the modem, but it only gets the IP 169.254.137.128, which is a link-local address (assigned when a device cannot obtain a valid IP address from a DHCP server). It likely uses a VLAN, as the name of the LAN connection on their router is...

Assistance Needed for Network Configuration: Removing ISP Router

I haven't made any changes to my router (Zyxel Flex 500) other than setting DHCP for the WAN connection. The screenshot with VLAN settings is from the ISP's router, to which I have limited access and cannot change these networking settings. I will try powering down the ONT (or whatever it is)...

Assistance Needed for Network Configuration: Removing ISP Router

That was the first thing I tried - I set my router to DHCP and connected the cable from the ONT to the WAN port. However, I did not receive an IP address. Could it be that I need to configure a specific VLAN for this to work?

Assistance Needed for Network Configuration: Removing ISP Router

Hello, I recently switched from a coaxial connection to fiber optic. During the transition, my ISP provided me with two devices: one is an ONT (Innbox G23 NT GPON) and the other is a router (Zyxel VMG8623-T50B). The fiber optic cable connects to the ONT, and then the LAN output goes into the...

    RT-AC66U - 3.0.0.4.374.35_4, DHCP flood

Can't find those settings in dd-wrt. Here is my setup(see secondary site, primary is ASUS in my situation): I've noticed that wifi signal between primary and secondary is weak, maybe that's the reason... Here are screenshots from secondary router settings:

    RT-AC66U - 3.0.0.4.374.35_4, DHCP flood

It didn't help. I think that this is not same problem. In "General log" everything looks ok, there is no flooding "DHCP REQUEST, INFORM,..." messages. Those IPs appears just on the first page (see screenshot at my first post).

    RT-AC66U - 3.0.0.4.374.35_4, DHCP flood

Hi. I'm not on windows machine. Those IPs are all from one MAC address, which belongs to WiFi of the other router. That other router has static IP and it's in bridge mode - wirelessly connected to main router. Under "System log - DHCP leases" everything looks OK.

    RT-AC66U - 3.0.0.4.374.35_4, DHCP flood

Hi. I’ve RT-AC66U with Merlin build 3.0.0.4.374.35_4 (main router) and another router (Linksys wrt-54gl, DD-WRT v24-sp1), that is running in “repeater bridge” mode. Routers are connected with wi-fi connection. I’ve noticed strange things in 3.0.0.4.374.35_4. Linksys router started to flood my...

StrongSwan(optware) on Asus RT-AC66U (merlin build)-can't access LAN IPs

Some strongswan guru suggested me to check this site: http://wiki.strongswan.org/projects/strongswan/wiki/ForwardingAndSplitTunneling It says that you gotta have ip_forward enabled. However, I can't find sysctl command on my router. But following is probably the same: cat...
