Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.6 is now available for select models

Wan and lan performance improvement is predictable based on faster ports… real question is how the WiFi performance is compared to the Ax86U? Kinda curious if it’s the same … improved or worse

Solved Trying to decide on a ASUS AX router

Shouldn’t be an issue… lots of users run different versions of firmware on the main router and nodes

Solved Trying to decide on a ASUS AX router

You might want to try out 46065. It’s been tested extensively and the majority of people like it. Very stable and there are quite the security fixes and other improvements for this version of the firmware. Personally I will stay on this one / merlyn .5 version which is buil on this 46065/ for...

    Asuswrt-Merlin mirror site available

Its more like expressing a different opinion is what this forum has a problem with And not particularly what the firmware is and how merlin does things. I generally don’t post but I do read daily all major topics and discussions here and in my opinion that is the case. Not to mention that there...

    Asuswrt-Merlin mirror site available

No need for such a paranoia… it’s the internet after all and everybody is free to do and download from wherever they find it most useful. Or at least it used to be that way. Mirroring has been done for ages and it’s actually a good thing… even as a simple backup. plus as said people can always...

RT-AX3000 crashing every few days in bcmsw_rx (Tried hw/sw reset/rebuilds and even new replacement router)

I would say after you do the reset just set up WiFi password and whatever manual IP addresses you need to do and leave it to run like that. No scrips, just the default settings for the firmware. After 7days you can log in and see if the router restarted or not …. Doesn’t really matter if it did...

Are Chinese ASUS Routers have the same Hardware and Features as WW models?

Just out of curiosity… what country do you live in?!? I can hardly understand the logic behind the whole “local firmware” needed.

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.2 is now available

I’m aware of that and generally don’t pay attention to logs and they don’t bother me. However here the issue is that before the update to 386.2 I did not have any problems with the Apple TV getting disconnected randomly from the network. And it does it multiple times in a roll. MAC address from...

That setting is disabled for me and I have multicasting disabled as well... I think that’s the default

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.2 is now available

I’m experiencing the same thing but with wireless and especially Apple TV. Same log message and the Apple TV report every 5-10 mins that it’s not connected to the network. This started after upgrading my AX88U to 386.2 I’ve experienced it before last year at one point with the previous tree...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.1 is now available

Updated yesterday to the final 386.1 version coming from 384.19 on a ax88u. After the firmware was flashed and router was restarted I lost all WiFi signal both on 2.4 and 5, WAN and LAN connectivity. Couple more restarts did not do anything. Tried to do factory reset with the back reset button...

micro Center in the US or CA is your best bet. They keep getting it in and out of stock but if you check every couple days you will be able to get one for in store pick up. I live near Chicago and got mine a week ago. I would not recommend this router though - I upgraded from AX88U that I’ve...

    Asus RT-AX89X review

I recently upgraded to this router coming from the AX88U that I got last November and I was extremely happy with! The 88U was really solid performed for me and decided that I should give it to my parents to use and get the 89X. Been using it for a week now and I can say that I’m rather...
