Poor radio performance after moving from RT-AX88U_388.1 to RT-AX88U_3004_388.5 in AP mode

Hello, I seem to have worse radio performance after moving from RT-AX88U_388.1 to RT-AX88U_3004_388.5 in AP mode and I was hoping someone could explain the differences between these two branches? I couldn't find anything specific in the forums and just assume it's a move by ASUS to a new code...

AC86U sometimes powers completely off during reboot

Damn... Got excited for a second. But I haven't tested fate either and I'm so used to manually going and pulling the plug. I will start using console reboot more aggressively and see what I find, but doesn't sound like any change. Get it together ASUS!!!

    [384.18_Alpha Builds] Testing all variants

I couldn't ever isolate the disconnects and that information is quite helpful, thanks! Hopefully this comes soon and it can be incorporated. I have taken mine off the default aggressive mode for now to see if it helps.

    [384.18_Alpha Builds] Testing all variants

I did some testing here with my AX88U and didn't see a difference. The router is 2 stories below me in the test, so I was -82dBm +/- 2 for the upper and lower channels no matter what I set it on. I would like to know if anyone has ever been successful with Smart connect though. If it worked it...

    [384.18_Alpha Builds] Testing all variants

On the 5GHz band, it looks like everyone else is in the 100-165 channel range. Absolutely nobody in the channel 36 to 64 range. I suspect everyone else is in auto mode and it puts them in that range by default? I assume that channel 36 to 64 has no disadvantages over 100-165 channels...

    [384.18_Alpha Builds] Testing all variants

Thanks everyone! I disabled Target Wake Time and this morning I didn't wake up to a mailbox full of emails that devices were disconnecting/reconnecting! I also made the other adjustments as suggested as well. No on to try this 18 build.

    [384.18_Alpha Builds] Testing all variants

Holy auto-connect politics!! lol I almost had to go get popcorn... I don't want auto, or smart auto, or really anything "smart", never have... But,,, I've been having a ton of wifi disconnect issues with 386.16 and 17, so I am here checking with the experts. My fingbox that monitors the...

    AC88U - Wireless Problems (deauth)

I'm camping out here now too as I am having these issues on my AX88U router running 384.17. It's been around for a while now in the releases, but it's finally got me looking for a solution. My fing box is going nuts with devices going offline and then coming back online...
