    WebUI unresponsive and 100% CPU

Indeed I had to do it manually. Webui did not want to do it! Even typing "reboot" in a ssh session did not help.

    WebUI unresponsive and 100% CPU

I am afraid that I rebooted the device so the issue is gone (for now). I did not want to have a 100% cpu running overnight :). It is a pitty that I did not test it. Next time the issue pops up I will try ... thanks!

    WebUI unresponsive and 100% CPU

Hi, I have had this issue several times already with my AC3200 on Merlin 384.5. First, I am not able to log into the webui at port 80, but I can login at port 8443. What is see then is that CPU2 has 100% utilisation. If I SSH into the router and do a 'top' I see this (load average of >5 and...

Serious problem with 2.4ghz and recent firmware versions?

Did some more research. Even went so far as to switch of all elecrtricity in my house and ran an extention wire from the shed in my garden to the inside of my house... still the same issue. Something is interfering with my wifi. My old WRT54g also has issues on the same channels. The strange...

Serious problem with 2.4ghz and recent firmware versions?

Flashed my ac3200 back to stock firmware (3.0.0.4.382_50624) ... still 2.4 ghz connectivity issues on the higher channels. Lower channels (1,2,3 are no problem). Still think it is some interference issue in my house.

Serious problem with 2.4ghz and recent firmware versions?

Dreadnought, I have EXACTLY the same issues as you! I was experiencing connectivity issues on my trusted n66u and was convinced that the 2.4 radio had died from 'old age'. I bought a second hand ac3200 but to my horror this also had connectivity issues. Being still under warranty I managed to...

VPN connects but refuses connections to WAN and LAN

Then it is a mystery and we have to wait for the next update that will hopefully fix this.

VPN connects but refuses connections to WAN and LAN

Same issue here. I must say I have two VPN servers running. Server 1 runs on port 1194 over udp and has no issues. Server 2 runs on port 443 over tcp and has the above mentioned issues (can not reach internet or lan). Eddy, can you check which server number you are using ... it might be...

Chromecast might be causing connectivity issues

Apparently many Asus users have issues with this as can be seen on the comments in the dutch tweakers.net forum: https://tweakers.net/nieuws/133965/google-cast-apparaten-veroorzaken-wifi-drop-outs-bij-verschillende-routers.html

Chromecast might be causing connectivity issues

Hi all, Since more then 6 months I have been experiencing 5Ghz wifi stability issues with my RT- n66u device. Sometimes the 5Ghz SSID even doesn't show up in the wifi discovery of my mobile devices. I think it might be triggered by the Google Chromecast I had installed around the same time. And...

    Larger subnet client list

Let,s hope ASUS sees the importance of larger subnets and implments this feature :)

    Larger subnet client list

Ok, thanks ... the devices are working perfectly OK! Should be nice to have the device list supporting larger subnets ... can this easily be implemented in FW? The home networks are growing nowadays with all these IOT devices ... so larger subnets will become more common. Thanks

    Larger subnet client list

Hi, I recently increased my subnet to 255.255.254.0 (router ip 192.168.42.1). I have the dhcp pool setup from 192.168.43.100 to 192.168.43.200. The problem is that I do not see (in the device list) any device that has been given an ip from the hdcp server. I only see the devices that are on the...

SSH "Allow remote Port Forwarding" option not working

Hi, I'm currently on 380.64_2. Since some weeks I am having problems to do SSH server to client port forwarding. The ports are always connected to 127.0.0.1, never to 0.0.0.0, which is what I need to let other clients use the forwarding. I tried to toggle the "Allow Remote Port Forwarding"...
