Hm. Rarely, but I'm getting the same disconnects even with one built-in adapter. This is most definitely different to 386.7_2 and is probably related to this WiFi issue being discussed in this thread:

@RMerlin, first, huge thanks for the 388.1 release from a long-term fan! Second, I think I found a 388.1-specific bug and would like to report it. The bug is likely due to the STP implementation changes between 386.7_2 and 388.1. My setup is that I have one computer with two wifi interfaces...

I'm having exactly the same issue with AsusWRT Merlin 386.7_2 on GT-AXE11000. I have however noticed that Asus has recently (17/10/2022) posted a 3.0.0.4.388.21224 - so much further along than Merlin. Has anyone tried it yet and checked the kernel panics?

Just dirty-upgraded RT-AC5300 from 384.19 to 386.1. All good, apart from having to wait up to 90 minutes or so after each reboot (!) for the UI. Examining the problem, I discovered that nt_center process was at 100% for a very long time. Finally it finishes, but after reboot it takes another 90...
