    I am convinced it is not Asus' interest to do that. My point was if I had some programming skills what parts of the 386 code & binary blobs I had to use in the 3004.388 code to make it work on the RT-AC86U.

    I am sad to find out my Asus RT-AC86U will not receive any update. Both RT-AX86S and RT-AC86U have the same CPU, a Broadcom BCM4906. I wonder what it takes to adapt the 3004.388 firmware (currently running on the RT-AX86S) for the RT-AC86U.
