Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.2 is now available

Just make sure you are not using odd characters in your SSID and I have used many mobiles without issue on Wi-Fi both 5 & 6. As mentioned you should start a separate thread and supply more details for assistance as not a common issue for most.

Solved AX88U and VYPRVPN Merlin 386.1.2

I have ax88U with 386.1_2 and use VyprVPN. I downloaded and used the 256 bit files and this is what was added to the custom section. No issues at all and works solid. resolv-retry infinite persist-remote-ip keepalive 10 60 cipher AES-256-CBC tls-cipher...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.1 is now available

It must have been a bug as 160 MHz is only relevant to Wi-Fi 6 (AX) and not Wi-Fi 5 (AC). So not applicable then to AC-88U model but it is on the AX-88U which I have. UPDATE: my bad this is incorrect as confirmed by Merlin some AC-88U units do support 160 MHz...

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 386.1 Beta is now available

Treadler I am also in Oz and have NBN 1000/50 with ABB and RT-AX88U on 6APP POI. As you mentioned you do need to use QoS for Upload otherwise it will be real slow. I am on Merlin 386.1 B2 and these are my settings below. You also need to set each devices priority under Bandwidth Monitor as well...

Release [Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.19 beta is now available

I have the Ax88U and mine works fine with 384.19B1. I did note though that Asus have released very quickly a new firmware to address by the looks some connection issues as below. It might be relevant to the type of connection you have. I have PPPoE 1000/50 fibre and dynamic IP. ASUS RT-AX88U...

    Last ditch effort with AX58 & AX88

With Intel AX200 which is 160 MHz you should actually be getting 2400 not 1200 (80 MHz). I have a AX88U on 384.19 Alpha 2 and noticed some real weird things with the 160 MHz band not connecting. I toggled it on/off and then rebooted the router and it then connected at 2400 on my laptop AX200 and...

    [384.18_Alpha Builds] Testing all variants

I had a similar issue as I had the 384.18 Alpha on my AX88U but had constant internet disconnections. So I thought I would see what was in the latest Asus 9107 release and man I didn't realize how good and how many extra features were in Merlin's firmware ( big thanks again Merlin for all your...

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.16 (and 384.13_6) are now available

What is at the other end. I have a QNAP NAS and have used Link Aggregation with a AC88U and now a AX88U without issue. It uses 802.ad dynamic. From my NAS Help might be of assistance. It is some time back but I think the Asus only supports Layer 2 and not Layer 2+3. This mainly gives 2 x 1 Gbps...

[Beta 384/NG] Asuswrt-merlin 384.4 Beta is now available

Hello PeterDNA My guess is your router hardware is faulty. I have used this same router for years, RT-AC68U prior, and all the recent Merlin firmware and never had issues with wireless. I recall mention of some faulty units at one time so if still under warranty get a replacement. Might want to...

    [Release 382] Asuswrt-Merlin 382.1 is now available

I use the RT-AC88U on Merlin 382.1_2 and although I don't have a Pixel 2 I do have a Sony XZ Premium on Android Oreo 8.0.0. I have zero issues with the 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz wireless networks. I have 100/40 fibre and get 95/38 3ms consistently. I mainly use the 5 GHz range. I do find you need to fine...
