    Well, since I started this thread... And since I think it's related in that the mode operates in one mode only, it may help someone else with same issue i.e. thread says it works, but mine doesn't, 'oh I've got it in repeater mode and that doesn't work apparently'. ;)

    I personally got the super power supply antennas for my AC-68U's. They gave a remarkable boost in performance on both 2.4 and 5GHz. I can't advocate for them enough. Really really good. Look them up on ebay, and they're actually very cheap.
