    @Ronald Schwerer Thank you very much! That worked! I found that version on the Merlin site and it was in on my first attempt! Edit: Upgrading to the latest firmware after pairing seems to work without a hitch, so it is only the pairing itself that is messed up. I'll just try to remember that...

    I think I'll give it up. I have had it running while working at my home office, and every time it comes to 90 %, counts the last ten in a few seconds and fails. At least 20 attempts now, every other time wired and wireless. There has to be something weird about this device.

    I don't get smart connect, so I guess I'm dumb...

    It's a theory, but it's not correct. I can see it on my phone and laptop. They have full bars whereever I am. And when I move them from the home office to the living room, they loose connection for a second and are then back again with full bars when I'm closest to that node.

    Thanks! :) I use hoses for a lot of stuff. And I run it straigt into the box with the router, and it's glued tight with Tech7, which doesn't even let through vapor. :)

    Zombie thread, I'm afraid... I now have a cable running to the dock (inside a garden hose so it won't be damaged on the rocks and by the rodents) and an AI Mesh node in a box there. ;)

    @Tech9, that's the one I didn't really get anything understantable out of... @leerees, I have had the system running for a couple of of weeks and nothing connects to any of the AIMesh nodes with anything but 2.4 gHz. And some of the devices are literally half a meter from one of the nodes!

    I'm trying to get my pc's and phones to mainly go to 5 gHz but fall back to 2.4 when the signal is too weak in my AI Mesh system. But no matter what I put in RSSI in the advanced setup, they only connect to the 2.4 gHz, even if they are one room away. I have tried to cut on -50, -80 and -90 dB...
