I can't get more from isp now. That's why I'm trying to figure out how can I get the most from my current speeds, especially upload.

so the 300/20 isp will be splitted between 5GHz-1 and 5GHz-2 as 150/10 and 150/10?

I get it but in case of tri band routers each band will have 300/20 (each channel of 5ghz band) For example 20mbps upload bandwidth will be on each band so more devices can upload at a higher speeds at the same time? Am I missing something?

What about if I have 300/20 plan shouldn't be tri band (with two 5ghz) more logical as the 20mbps upload would be on both 5ghz channels? More devices can use faster upload speeds at the same time.

Simple answer: I just want more bang for my buck. First, I was decided to get the 88U Pro as the specs was same and it is newer device, but since I saw the comparison tests I wasn't sure and wanted to know how things work as the older device with same internals doing better in comparison...

Thank you for your answers. So the newer device which is priced same or higher, with same parameters has worse performance. I'm just curious what makes the RF advantages. Is it some internal design, antennas, FIRMWARE or something else?

I'm sorry if I don't understand this correctly but what do you mean by saying superior RF? What component part is different? I'm also leaning slightly more towards 88U Pro but if the GT has better RF, I'm not sure.

In this video you can see that it's Broadcom BCM4912. 3:11 Also in this comparison, the single client test comes better with GT AX6000. Can it be firmware tweaks?

Price is the same here. I don't care much about design, I would rather have the best performing router out of these two and also better support.
