[AC3100 main & 3xAC68 nodes] Issues with AiMesh Dropping Connections

FWIW, my nodes dropped a couple of days ago and I needed to reboot my AM AP AC3100 for my 2 TM1900 to reconnect.

Thank you for the answer. I very much appreciate that.

SNBForums Policy on ASUS TM-AC1900 Conversion Discussion

Eh, wouldn't it be easier to not read this thread. Be that as it may, maybe I missed it but I read it somewhere that your current firmwares also have the lockdown? I have always respected what you've done and respect that it's your right to lock thing down, but it really doesn't hurt you any to...

[AC3100 main & 3xAC68 nodes] Issues with AiMesh Dropping Connections

Like you I have AC3100 as AM master and converted TM units as AM nodes. With 308, my nodes would drop connections but only after several days of being up. A reset of the AM master fixed the issue. I don't think that I've had AM master drop connections that I'm aware of. My nodes are now on 648...

SNBForums Policy on ASUS TM-AC1900 Conversion Discussion

I have to disagree with the decision to shut down TM-AC1900 discussions. I have owned Asus routers from N66 to 3 AC68u to 3 RT-AC3100 and also an AC88U. I had sold my AC68u to upgrade to AC3100/88U before AiMesh came out. As I was sure AiMesh wasn't mature and I didn't want to spend a lot of...

    ASUS RT-AC68U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.384.20648

Were you on 1.0.2.0 AM and 20308? It should work if you were. Unfortunately, I don't think I can say too much more as SNBforums has banned TM-AC1900 hacking discussions.

[Official Beta] AiMesh beta firmware for RT-AC68U/RT-AC86U/RT-AC5300/RT-AC88U

I changed all 3 of my MAC addresses and the secret code using your CFE.

[Official Beta] AiMesh beta firmware for RT-AC68U/RT-AC86U/RT-AC5300/RT-AC88U

Either you or me can try changing the firmware for the node with the drop-off in question back to either stock or Merlin and run it in AP mode. If there's no drop-off with a different firmware, then it's a firmware issue. I probably won't get around to it for a while though...

[Official Beta] AiMesh beta firmware for RT-AC68U/RT-AC86U/RT-AC5300/RT-AC88U

I think I found a serious bug. My current is my desktop connected to a converted TM-1900 node (using goggles99's CFE) hardwired to a switch which is then hardwired to a Hackintosh server. The switch is hardwired to a RT-AC3100 running Merlin. I also have the master node (RT-AC3100) and another...

[Official Beta] AiMesh beta firmware for RT-AC68U/RT-AC86U/RT-AC5300/RT-AC88U

So I managed to get my RT-3100 AP to see the two converted TM-1900 nodes. It was only after a few attempts and I don't really know how I got it to work.

[Official Beta] AiMesh beta firmware for RT-AC68U/RT-AC86U/RT-AC5300/RT-AC88U

Trying to run a RT-3100 as an AP and two TM-1900 covered using CFE by goggles99 and only one of two TM-1900 can be seen by the RT-3100 at a given time. I think that there's two possibilities: 1) RT-3100 can only see one node 2) The firmware recognizes unique CFEs as nodes. Does anyone else have...

[Official Beta] AiMesh beta firmware for RT-AC68U/RT-AC86U/RT-AC5300/RT-AC88U

It look like based on prior information either band can be used for backhaul and the router chooses the better one. We don't have clear answers yet for other parts of my question.
