Sorry for reviving this thread... I Just looked on the oracle 8 page and there doesnt seem to be a soft flost version around anymore?
I want to run a ha bridge on my router, so prolly a lightweight thing instead of a massive downloader.

Well i use openvpn for tunneling and want t be able to use it with two simultaneous connections. Apart from that i have three kids with laptops and cells and the other usual stuff.
Thats why i wanted something more robust but also beefier to handle openvpn servers.
So after a year with the AC87 i decided to ditch it because of the bad 5Ghz connections.
Actually the connections are mostly ok but i see that sometimes pictures wont load or browsing and other apps are just slow in loading stuff.
Disconnecting and going tru my LTE connection just blazes away...
Ok Start with WAN makes sense.
As for the useless rebooting: i noticed in the past that my 5Ghz band would become unresponsive even though clients were connected to it.
Thats why i reboot every night.(prolly the Quantenna drivers)
I noticed a bug with the openVPN client.
Whenever my router reboots, cron job at night daily, it switches on the vpn client.
Even when it was switched off at the first place.
Also when it is off and change a field on the openvpn client it switches it back on again.
Off course the first bug is...
Thnx.
This worked, although it only worked if i put both rules(router and openvpn server subnet) in pointing to wan.
I guess looking at the way policyrules are set up it is not possible to have another OpenVPN server point to the local wan, meaning it exits my router at where i live not where...
Ok, so I need to switch back to open vpn client then. Is that the internal ip address then? Sorry if I sound stupid here.I just have no experience yet with policy based routing
Hi,
I am running a AC87 with latest fw, 378.56_2.
I have configured and used 2 OpenVPN servers successfully for a while on it.
I have a PIA subscription and managed to get the OpenVPN client and PPTP client working.
Because of throughput issues i ditched the use of the OpenVPN client and now...
Well i have an ac-87 and tried openvpnclient on pia. I also couldn't get beyond 5-7 mbps. When i changed to PPTP it went to 22/45 on a 50/50 fiber link to their newyork server.
So thats an enormous improvement.
I must say i am running two openvpn servers on it. But both don't do very much...

Perfect way to get a response! I couldn't resist your sarcastic opening line in post #23:
Well perhaps my response was fueled by the simple comment Read The F.cking Manual. Not everybody likes a first response to be including swearing.
'the overwhelming response on this'
Hmmm, wonder...
Ok,
So i have fixed it !
The rule listed above is correct and in the correct place/file.
However i remembered to have read something about Windows vs Unix line endings.
And i deleted any spaces and newlines between the statement and the logging line.
Now it runs properly.
The way i checked it...
