    Thinking about TP-Link Deco X90

Yeah, I've read decent reviews on both the x60 and x90. I may just try to use my old router as an AP, but if I were to go the mesh route with the x60 or x90 would it make sense to use those in AP mode with my TP-Link 3200 as the router (wifi off) or to use one of the mesh units at the main router?

    Thinking about TP-Link Deco X90

Actually I just realized it's an old Archer C7 V2 that I have. It looks like it doesn't have AP mode. You can use bridge mode though.

    Thinking about TP-Link Deco X90

I do have an old TP-Link Archer A7 that I could use in AP mode (I think), but I'd be worried that they wouldn't handle roaming between the router and AP and they would overlap too much. I know the Deco x90 is supposed to have some AI stuff to handle directing the signal and roaming (I've read...

    Thinking about TP-Link Deco X90

I currently have one TP-Link 3200 V1 running my entire network (Fios 500/500 internet). It performs really well and handles all our devices while we work from home and stream TV over the internet. That being said, there is one area of the house where the signal doesn't really reach (can barely...

    Considering an Eero Pro setup

Understood. How difficult is it to set up and configure Merlin? I see people talking about it all the time with the Asus routers, but I don't know anything about it. Is this some firmware I just upload to the router periodically, or are there special steps to get this going?

    Considering an Eero Pro setup

So, the reason I brought up the TP-Link C2300 is because I can get it for $70 on eBay from the official TP-Link store, and I would imagine I can get the Netgear 7800 for cheap too. For the price of one Asus RT-AX88U, I could almost buy 3 Eero Pro units. So if I were to go that route, what...

    Considering an Eero Pro setup

I have one last question before I pull the trigger on something (hopefully). My current house is 3100 sqft in roughly square shape (although part of that is the garage, so it is somewhat L shaped). My main router is near the front corner of the house. My current TP-Link C7 V2 has a...

    Considering an Eero Pro setup

That definitely makes sense, but I was just curious if this was still an "issue" or not.

    Considering an Eero Pro setup

I haven't purchased them yet, but I was considering doing so today. What kind of speeds are you seeing when connected to the Eero Pro (the main one and then the satellites)? After doing some searching I've seen people complaining about the speed (like max speed of around 200 or 250 mbps in the...

    Considering an Eero Pro setup

There is a targeted deal going around for Amex 20% off if you pay with points (you can use one point and still get the discount). You can use it multiple times, but there is a max discount ($50 I believe). It looks like I only have $27 remaining, so it would be that much off. I was hoping I...

    Considering an Eero Pro setup

Would the EdgeRouter X be more powerful than an Eero? I would assume either would be better than my current Archer C7 as a router.

    Considering an Eero Pro setup

Amazon has refurbished Eero Pro's selling for $119 right now, and I have a stacking discount. So, I was considering replacing my old TP-Link C7 with two Eero Pro units (3100 sqft house). Right now the second unit would be using the wireless backhaul, but at some point in the future I may try...

Question on setting up new MoCA adapters

I haven't had FIOS (or any other cable) TV in over a year, so it would not compete with any TV boxes. It sounds like there is a lot more that goes into this than setting up powerline...
