Just checked logs from last 2 days, it seams ok! DDNS updated this morning without issues, and after this there was no DDNS logs whole day. Aug 18 02:33:52 ddns: update CUSTOM , wan_unit 0 Aug 18 02:33:52 ddns: Clear ddns cache. Aug 18 02:33:52 custom_script: Running /jffs/scripts/ddns-start...

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 3004.388.4 beta is now available

DDNS updating seams to work with latest Beta release. Didn't check logs if some errors are spamming them, but this morning IP was updated. Need to check if I disabled router restarts when I get home.

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 3004.388.4 beta is now available

Plex isn't working for me without upnp. In their documentation they specify one port, but if you forward just that port, I cannot access server outside of network. Only when I enable upnp access start working. So, they probably need more then one port, just not sure which, and I'm not willing to...

Yes. I have my router set to reboot every morning (to force ddns update) until update to beta 3.

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 3004.388.4 beta is now available

I have same issue on AX86U. WAN connection is PPPoE and my ISP changes IP around 4am every morning, only using IPv4. Yesterday I noticed I cannot connect to NAS, though I forgot to forward ports after reset, but in the end I noticed IP on my DDNS domain wasn't updated. After I manually updated...

Hi, No, didn't use config backup. I just restored JFFS partition backup.

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 3004.388.4 beta is now available

Upgraded from one year old 386.7_2 version, and it worked without factory reset. Did factory reset anyway. Was VERY pleasantly surprised to see router remembers port forwards and OpenVPN server settings! I'm guessing it's stored in JFFS partition which I restored after factory reset. Minor...

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 386.4 beta is now available

Yes, now I remembered why script was used. I wanted to BLOCK Internet access for cameras but still be able to access them via VPN server. When you block Internet access to LAN IP, it also blocks access from VPN to that LAN IP. Sorry, forgot what for I used that script.

That's a known issue. Had it with IP cameras and VPN server and solution was one script from this forum. Try searching forum for script which enables access to cameras in LAN via openvpn server. EDIT...

    Why no new Merlin firmware?

Thank you, but I'm aware of that post. Was asking if there is info "what exactly" was issue. Legal concerns is vary vague, that's why I asked is there someone claiming code which was open sourced or something else. I guess there aren't any concrete answers what issue is right now.

    Why no new Merlin firmware?

Tried searching all mentions of GPL in last month on snb but found nothing relevant. If someone knows in which thread, please let me know.

    Why no new Merlin firmware?

Will there ever be public announcement what exactly was issue with old GPL? Someone claiming part of open source code is their proprietary code or?

    Why no new Merlin firmware?

Asus is a company. They aren't doing this because they are benevolent open source lovers. They found a niche market which is working and generating sales. When it stops generating sales, they kill it ASAP. Bought AX86U few months ago, and my most important reason was that is was supported by...
