Trying to figure out IPv6 with AC87U/Merlin 378.52a3 (CTL Fiber)

While I got IPv6 to work (its 6rd style, not native), I found that IPv6 traffic was much slower (around 300mbps instead of 950 or so), and I could not think of any critical use for IPv6, so I just disabled it. If you have a critical need I'll see if I can dig up my settings I used... Sent from...

    Looking for feedback: Traffic Analyzer

Does the Traffic Analyzer work with NAT Acceleration (aka CTF) enabled?

    RT-AC87U: IPv6 speeds vs IPv4 speeds

(TL;DR: Does the AC87U CTF hardware acceleration work with IPv6 traffic?) I recently got symmetrical gigabit internet, and so far I've been really happy with the performance of my AC87U with this service. But now I've started looking into enabling IPv6 support, and I'm trying to understand...

Trying to figure out IPv6 with AC87U/Merlin 378.52a3 (CTL Fiber)

I have a new ISP (CenturyLink 1Gig Fiber) connected to my ASUS RT-AC87U via PPPoE. Everything is working great, but I'd like to see about implementing IPv6 as well. There does not appear to be a great deal of documentation yet on the IPv6 options in the recent Merlin releases, so I'm hoping an...

    PS4 LAG with test results!

I'm no dev, but I'm pretty sure xhci_hcd is related to the USB3 port, not networking. If you have an hard disk attached to the USB3 port, it is possible it had spun down, and then the next time you tried to access it, this message appeared while it spun back up. Assuming you have something...

Unstable WiFi on both RT-AC68U and RT-AC87U, forced to reconnect wireless clients

Also, do you have the SSIDs for 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz named the same? I've seen Apple products struggle to select and stay on a band when both bands have the same SSID name. The end result is drops/WAN loss.

Help me understand dual channel wireless...

First, thank you for your help, I really appreciate it. I guess I misunderstood what that "b/g protection" setting was for? The popup help tip reads: "Tick b/g protection to allow b/g devices to connect to RT-AC66U without affecting 11n devices, but this increases the router's workload." I...

Help me understand dual channel wireless...

Up until recently I had been keeping the SSID of both my 2.4ghz and 5ghz network the same on my AC66U, thinking that was the best way to enable "dual channel" wireless networking. However some of our devices (iPads in particular) were having regular connectivity issues, and upon reading more...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 3.0.0.4.374.38 is out

JFYI, here is where Merlin referenced the issues with Comcast IPv6 in the past: http://forums.smallnetbuilder.com/showpost.php?p=89111

    Asuswrt-Merlin 3.0.0.4.374.33 is out

So it does seem that if I disable IPv6 then the rebooting stops. IPv6 is not critical for my needs, but I wonder if anyone else has seen similar results? Comcast is my ISP.

    Asuswrt-Merlin 3.0.0.4.374.33 is out

I've been pretty diligent keeping up with previous releases (including the 33 beta). The only significant change is I recently enabled IPv6 on the router. I'm not using USB sharing, no JFFS, no guest networks, etc.

    Asuswrt-Merlin 3.0.0.4.374.33 is out

3.0.0.4.374.33 rebooting I'm seeing random reboots on my RT-AC66U since updating to 3.0.0.4.374.33. The logs seem to restart after the reboot, is there anything specific I can grab to provide more insight as to what might be causing the reboot?

    What are these log errors

Hello, I'm running RMerlin's excellent custom firmware on my RT-AC66U and it is working very well, however I'm seeing some odd messages in the System General Log: Dec 3 15:55:45 kernel: printk: 2317 messages suppressed. Dec 3 15:55:45 kernel: protocol 0000 is buggy, dev eth0 These...
