    Asus router recommendation

I appreciate the feedback. I will most likely hold on to the RT-AC86U for the time being and wait what develops next. Most of our Apple devices already support Wi-Fi 6, but none supported Wi-Fi 6E. It will take years before we get a single Wi-Fi 7 device, so at best, I might just spring for...

    Asus router recommendation

We just moved from a 3-story rowhouse to a ranch house. I have been using Asus routers for a decade and a half. My first router overall was Linksys Wrt4g, and after it, I switched to Asus and have been using Asus since then. I have been a huge fan of the stand-up Asus models - RT-AC68U and...

Review New In the Charts: ASUS RT-AX86U

I will certainly wait for that. Is there any info about that router at this point yet?

Review New In the Charts: ASUS RT-AX86U

That didn't cross my mind to mention, but I agree about the spare requirements. Hence all my routers have been vertical like the AC68/86 and the AX68/86.

Review New In the Charts: ASUS RT-AX86U

Thank you for pointing the AX6000. That is some pretty ugly router I would probably not want in my house, but I will reserve my judgment when I see it live. Out of curiosity, how would the AX6000 be more super compared to AX86U in terms of range when power levels are, I believe, regulated by the...

Review New In the Charts: ASUS RT-AX86U

Yeah, my AC86U has been very reliable, so worse case scenario, I would keep it along my new AX86U. If I continue to go AIMesh route, I definitely want to remove AC68U from the network as it does not support Guest mode in AIMesh. We are forced to put many of our kids friends on our primary...

Review New In the Charts: ASUS RT-AX86U

This is very promising update. I have two Asus routers - AC86U and AC68U in AIMesh hardwired. We live in 3 story row house (townhome) ~ about 2200 sq ft. The main router - AC86U is the middle floor, but it struggles to deliver proper performance to one of the bedrooms upstairs, so we had to add...

    Release ASUS RT-AC86U Firmware 3.0.0.4.386.46092 2022/03/03

After I rebooted the router, it started to work as expected. Thanks!

    Release ASUS RT-AC86U Firmware 3.0.0.4.386.46092 2022/03/03

I am not sure if this happened with the latest firmware, but the internal speedtest no longer works. Also client descriptions dont stick and revert to previously input entries.

    PoE Access Point advise

Wow, I never heard of them, but they look like great products. It looks like UAP-AC-PRO is something I would want to buy, but also UniFi Ac In-Wall might do it in one of my other locations. Also, what about Aplifi HD mesh network? Is that as good as adding additional AP, or should I stay away...

    PoE Access Point advise

We currently live in 2200 sq ft 3-floory townhome. Even though it is a newer construction (6-7 years old), it is not prewired for ethernet in each room (what a shame btw). We have Asus RT-AC68U strategically located on the 2nd-floor living room. The coverage is OK for the most parts; however...
