As i understand it QoS controls and manages network resources by setting priorities for specific types of data on the network. I can see how this would be highly useful in a business or in a situation where bandwidth was limited and you wanted to prioritize say, streaming video over video games...
Its really surprising. I planned to spend about 5K. Then i read so many good things about the EERO i figured i would try it and could always send it back in a few days if it sucked. But it has been awesome.

I have two nighthawk s8000 and two netgear GS 108's. Both 8 ports.
My cable is 1 gigabit and and my system is 3 Eero Pros. 1 Eero is direct to the modem and and the other two goto one switch which is connected to the 1st Eros for its internet.

So I have 3 eero pro's, 1 to the modem directly and out to a switch then the other 2 connected with ethernet cable to the switch. At this point there isnt a place in the house i get less than 350 down. It is pretty amazing.

Thanks for the info! So what i am concerned about the MESH systems is degrading speeds. I am generally getting 150-250 around my house via 2 wireless networks from my gigbit connection.
What are you getting generally and what is the connection you have?

Upstairs is the entire side of the house where garage is. Id say house main floor is 80x50 as the main floor is about 4000 of the house
cable runs from CM to about middle of other side. solid wifi pretty much all of it
