This firmware (by design of Asus) does not allow advanced firewall rules to be setup to allow traffic between VLANS. Each VLAN is separated and only has access to internet. witching tha access to main network on basically makes it part of the same subnet (so no FW/traffic restrictions between...
Good news! Ready to upgrade most of my routers/APs to this branch ;) Just the XT and ET12's will stay on the ASUS 9.0.0.6 beta given : Is it correct to assume all these routers now support Gust Pro VLANs except the "zenWifi Pro XT12"?
Hi I’d like to try this myself, can you point me to some instructions to set this up, how do I save this to a router an have it executed every reboot automatically?
I Upgraded from the 9006 beta to this, what a deception as all VLAN support was dropped, I tried to revert back to 9006, however, that does not work, most of the me is are not working, factory reset, downgrade to 3004 and back to 9006 same issues. Will Asus bring back support for Vlans on this...
I tried this 3.0.0.6 fimrware but the cat feeder which we use showed wifi randomly disconnects and stays offline.I installed the 9.0.6 beta again, let's se if that resolves my issue.
I installed an RT-BE88U, installed the latest Merlin firmware on it (release 3006.102.2_2). During the wizard I choose the AP functionality, it then asks for an SSID for normal and IOT network, the latter cannot be skipped. Once up and running I want to define my own VLANs and delete the IOT...
Any Asus router would do, why do you not want to use the AX88U Pro wifi?
You can use your old routers as AP's, using a wired backhaul from the 88. On each node you can configure the channels to use and use the same wifi name (SSID) and password.
If you want something faster than your old AC...
Still, I'd prefer the binaries on my NAS ;) so if anyone has the link to the binary that would be great.
Edit: found the link: https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/wireless/GT-AXE16000/FW_GT_AXE16000_90061024856.zip
still suspicious why the history of firmwares is no longer shown on the download...
Zenwifi Et12 they are gone as well looking for the download links, I did download them but I’m afraid I deleted them at a cleanup….
For other routers the 3.0.0.6 has been released as stable (Zenwifi XT12 for example). But these 2 unfortunaltly not yet.
Beta seems pulled from the download site at asus, works fine for me, only nuisance is a soft reboots results in no network, I need to power cycle to get it up and running again...
