New home, I need advice on wireless/cable network

If I were you I would make sure there's one central room for managing all the connections before you start wiring the property. From that central location, run cat5e or cat6 to every room, ideally each modern room in the house should have enough connections to serve voice and data at 2 or...

    link rate

I run my Asus RT-AC66U in media bridge mode, the link rate on the main page shows 1170 mbps, however going to the wireless log I find out that only mt tx is 1170, while my rx is only 6. Other AC devices on the network connect to the main access point at 300+/300+ any idea what could be wrong?

    RT-AC66U bridge mode

I cannot get my AC66U running in media bridge mode to pick up the 5ghz wireless signal my Ubiquiti AC access point is transmitting. I tried different channel widths but with no luck. All my other 5G devices have a stable connection to the access point. Any ideas what could be wrong? thanks.

    Wireless Routers or Access Points

I have a L2 managed PoE switch between the ubiquiti router and the APs.. the switch must be able to feed 48v to the APs, otherwise you will have to use the PoE injectors shipped with the APs.. any switch would do then. You can skip using the switch if you use a PoE router capable of feeding...

    Wireless Routers or Access Points

I have zero handoff enabled, so basically all my wireless devices roam mostly between the AC and the Pro APs, unless I step outside then the outdoor AP kicks in. I've never had to restart an AP yet but during setup I've noticed that all clients seamlessly switch to a different AP if the active...

    Wireless Routers or Access Points

Unifi + the right country setting in my house I started with 2 RT-AC66U in access point mode to cover an aprox indoor area of 4400 sqf, but having a lot of concrete walls made the Asus look useless. I then moved to Unifi, I installed 3 access points (AP Pro, AP AC, and AP Outdoor), everything...

    Ospf

I currently use static routes and a bunch of load balancing rules to get my way around. I tried to understand OSPF and how I can implement in my LAN but I only feel more confused after reading the wikis available online. Would you please tell me where and how to start? I have a few OSPF capable...
