That's what I did.. still no go after I waited an hour. I am tempted to get another unit of AX88 and just sell off the AC68u if I still can't get this going in the next couple of days.
I am aware of the difference, just that doing factory reset didn't do it for me unless there are leftovers from the earlier configuration when the AC68u was my primary router before I replaced it with my AX88 and kept the AC68u in my storeroom for the past year. As a part of my house has awfully...
The AC68u (aimesh node) is running latest Asus firmware for AC68u. It doesn't have JFFS? Should I reflash merlin, nuke off the JFFS then reflash Asus stock AC68u firmware to get it all cleaned up?
No I didn't do that.. hrmm.. maybe I should do that.. I only did a factory reset but didn't touch the JFFS. Thought a factory reset would have cleared it. Good idea. Shall try this evening.
What do you mean by "reset with WPS" ? All I did was factory reset the AC68u (Aimesh node), then try to locate it with the AX88 (aimesh router).
I tried both with and without the LAN cable from LAN of AX88 to WAN of AC68u connected. Still no go. Not sure if I am doing something stupid somewhere.
I am connecting WAN port of the node router (AC68u) to the LAN port of the Aimesh Router (AX88u)
No other ports of the AC68u are connected to anything.
thanks mate. maybe i will get the AC68 node to run on beta3 if it actually helps. still can't be detected no matter what I tried.
not having debugging lots doesn't help unfortunately
Yes mate. I tried.. factory reset AC68u...
Option 1 :
Ethernet backhaul from LAN of AX88 to WAN port of AC68u
Option 2 :
Leave it factory reset and searched for AC68u from AX88u after the power/2.4/5ghz lights are on after rebooting
Still no go.
I haven't done anything much to my AX88 config...
