AX88U just rebooted by itself after some weeks of uptime...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 388.2 is now available for select models

No plugins, or special use. Dirty upgrades all the way, so maybe time to reset. Have always been rock stable until that event.

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 388.2 is now available for select models

Had my first issue on AX88U. Wifi stopped working, no wifi-signal. Ethernet/Internet continued working as normal. Reboot fixed the issue.

Have 20/40/80/160 set. S23+ still drops wifi sometimes. Might tweak that intelligent wifi settings on the phone.

Most likely the phone. I have same problem with S23+, even after the may-update installed yesterday. Did not have any problem with S21.

AX88U. Only thing not working for me (also in the beta's) is the internet-speedtest - it does test the speed ok, but cannot complete the whole test.

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 388.1 is now available for all supported Wifi 6 models

Same. After setting both 2.4 and 5ghz to a manual channel, I have had zero wifi dropouts last 2 days. Could really be that Auto-channel on 388.1 is the cause for dropouts. Had zero dropouts with previous firmware 386.7_2 set to Auto on both 2.4 and 5ghz. AX88U.

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 388.1 is now available for all supported Wifi 6 models

Did have manual on 2.4 ghz with dropouts - and tried from manual to auto on 2.4 ghz - still dropouts today. So have now set manual ch on both 2.4 ghz and 5 ghz to check further. AX88U.

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 388.1 is now available for all supported Wifi 6 models

With regard to wifi-dropouts AX88U. Had ch 1 set on 2.4ghz. Reverted to Auto ch (which is on 3 now). Have had no wifi-dropouts since (but that is only for one day so to short time to tell).

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 388.1 is now available for all supported Wifi 6 models

AX88U now 5 days 11 hrs uptime. First impression was stable, but can confirm random wifi-dropouts - from laptop and samsung phone, at least when they are connected as AX-devices. Have not checked when they connect as AC-devices.

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 386.8 Beta is out for specific models

AX88U dirty upgrade from 386.7_2. No manual restart of AX88U after upgrade. Everything works 100%, all my 26 devices/IoT's, my Ring-system and my old AC68 as media-bridge.

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.5 is now available

Dirty upgrade from previous. AX88U. Running without issues for a week, but router rebooted by itself today.

Why does QNAP use ZFS for mission-critical storage then? https://www.qnap.com/quts-hero/en/

    Recommendations for a DIY

Ok, I can understand setting up QNAP/Synology to have something that just works, and will provide a NAS which can be trusted. The posts above is about some opinions made 2 years ago, and it appears that LinusT is mostly irritated with the licensing issue vs Linux and implementing ZFS in the...
