I haven’t had any issue with the 50427 firmware. I use it in AP mode (have not tested the AX68 as AImesh node or in router mode with the latest firmware).

UPDATE: One month later and 5 Ghz is still stable with firmware 50427.

I have been running 50427 for four days, and 5 Ghz is stable until now. The first time an RT-AX68u Asus firmware is stable for me on 5 Ghz since the 42808 firmware.

I have no issue trying 386.7_2. But my question to L&LD was about his 35 customers with the AX68. I was interested if they had the 5 ghz issue from this thread before 386.7. And if not to find out what is different with his configuration. For me that is not wasting time as Tech9 suggested.

Did any of those 35 customers with the AX68 have the issue with 5 ghz before 386.7? How do these customers use the AX68, as router, AP or AImesh node? Do these customers all use the same setup, and if so would you mind sharing this setup? Thank you :-).

No, I did not do a hard reset. Just a “dirty” upgrade to 386.7 merlin. Now running 1 day and 16 hours fine.
