    Release XT8 3.0.0.4.388_24688 just released (2024/11/28)

Updated via app and all appears ok so far. Just wish Asus was a little more forthcoming in what this FW does instead of just copying/pasting the prior FW's release notes.

Release ASUS ZenWiFi XT8 Firmware version 3.0.0.4.388_24668 (2024/09/24)

Upgraded two V1 XT8’s from the app. Wireless backhaul is solid and no problems with nearly 20 devices connecting to the network. Fingers crossed it stays this way.

Release ASUS ZenWIFI XT8 Firmware version 3.0.0.4.388_24621

I see FW 24668 is available in the app, but not on their USA site. Might want to try that one, but who knows what it fixes with no release notes posted by ASUS.

Release ASUS RT-AX55 Firmware version 3.0.0.4.386_52294

Firmware 5203 is out. Might want to try that.

Release ASUS ZenWIFI XT8 Firmware version 3.0.0.4.388_24621

Updated the node first then the main. So far so good running hw v1. I’ll keep my fingers crossed…

Release ASUS ZenWiFi AX (XT8) Firmware version 3.0.0.4.388.24609

I'm getting 1-3 daily drops on a TV and blink camera using V1 FW 24609. Back to FW 23285 for me.

Release ASUS ZenWiFi AX (XT8) Firmware version 3.0.0.4.388.24609

Just updated and noticed that auto firmware upgrade and security upgrade were set to on. I wonder what other settings may now be enabled that I had off previously?

Release ASUS TUF-AX5400 Firmware version 3.0.0.4.388_24121

This feature is gone from my xt8’s as well. But the 4tb hard drive I have attached to it is going to sleep as desired.

Release ASUS ZenWiFi AX (XT8) Firmware version 3.0.0.4.388.22525

Since I first reported on February 24, 22525 has been delightfully stable for me. Like Smokey613 above, I am also using channel 173.

Release ASUS ZenWiFi AX (XT8) Firmware version 3.0.0.4.388.22525

Firmware 22525 has been rock solid for me with two units using wireless backhaul. Since Asus started rolling out independent firmware updates for v1 and v2 hardware, the XT8s have been functioning much better. I hope it stays that way...

    Release ASUS ZenWiFi XT8 Firmware version 3.0.0.4.388.21099 (2022/10/03 )

I have two XT8's running firmware 21099. The wireless node went down today and thought it was bricked. Damn thing wouldn't connect after a factory reset. Had to unearth the stuff around the main unit to access it for a factory reset, then reset the node again and was able to get up and running...

Release ASUS ZenWiFi XT8 Firmware version 3.0.0.4.386.48706 (2022/05/03)

Been a long time since I posted. I had basically given up on ASUS since no firmware going back a year resolved the constant drops with two XT8s on a basic wireless backhaul setup. But I'm happy to report 48706 has resolved those problems and has been shockingly stable, even with my IoT devices...

    Release Asus ZenWiFi XT8 - New Firmware: 3.0.0.4.386_45879 (2021-09-29)

I took the plunge and 45879 seems to have resolved frequent drops on some older devices. Also on the positive side, our main Roku player has not experienced any lag/buffering as it did under 43181. I'll keep my fingers crossed, but looks to be a huge improvement for me.

    Release Asus XT8 - 3.0.0.4.386.43181 - 2021/06/17

I'm not holding my breath. Look at all the recent reviews on Amazon and the vast majority are very unhappy. I'm sure these units are getting returned almost as fast as people are buying them, yet no fix despite the logs we sent and the returns they are getting. Here's some recent comments, all...

    Release Asus XT8 - 3.0.0.4.386.43181 - 2021/06/17

I have the two pack and did a full factory reset on prior firmware versions to this release without success. Rolling back to a prior stable firmware release also required factory resets in some cases. Interesting. So you're saying only if you made the +1 device the router, and the two pack...
