    Beam forming settings?

The N66U doesn't have that setting (at least mine didn't:D) explicitly shown. AFAIK, it only appears on the ARM-based Asus routers.

    RT-N66U - Wired port issue

I've experienced a similar issue with my 68U when making ipv6-related changes through the web interface. Wifi will continue to work flawlessly, but on my wired Win 7 machine I'll see that exclamation point over the network icon as if I'm not able to get a DHCP offer. Rebooting the router fixes...

My iOS devices don't play well with RT-68U

With the older ios devices I use, I'll get drops if I enable wmm no-ack, optimize ack-suppression, and/or optimize ampdu aggregation. With these disabled, I get a pretty solid connection on 2.4ghz. I believe most, if not all of these are disabled by default.

Dropping Wifi Connectivity - Firmware 374.40

FWIW, I was experiencing some drops with an older ios device, but that seems to have been remedied by disabling "enable wmm no-acknowledgement."

    Asuswrt-Merlin 374.40 ALPHA 4 builds now available

I'm getting full bars on my 3DS XL even if I put a few walls between it and my router (N66U /w Merlin 374.40 Alpha 4).

    Asuswrt-Merlin 3.0.0.4.374.38 is out

KGB7- If you're using windows, right click on the wireless icon in the systray--> open network and sharing center-->change adapter settings-->right click on your wireless adapter-->check "status." I'm not using my ipad at the moment, and my router's wireless log shows that its Tx rate is a...

Attached USB drive died - any hope?

I believe Merlin (maybe?) commented that these routers have trouble fsck'ing large hard disks due to their inherent memory limitations. I tend to just run gparted through a virtualized Ubuntu session when the syslog reports disk issues. Just unmount and "check." There are also a few different...

N66u - Warnings and errors in system log

Right, I'm seeing 9-10 MB/s copying from the usb hd attached to my n66u. Whenever I see a filesystem warning in the log, I unmount the hd from the router, connect it to my pc, and run gparted.

N66u - Warnings and errors in system log

I see the same ext4 message in my log, but running the command "mount" shows that my USB volume is correctly mounted as ext3. My wired transfers to that disk top out at around 9 Mb/sec. I get the crond notice as well, and I believe that is due to the Broadcom soc lacking a battery-backed clock.

    Asuswrt-Merlin 3.0.0.4.374.37 is out

Ah, sorry for the confusion, Merlin. All wired and wifi clients appear in the clients list without issue. I was referring to the USB port status on the network map page as displaying "no devices." I'll give the new beta a try and report back. UPDATE: I can confirm that .37_1-SDK5-oldusb...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 3.0.0.4.374.37 is out

I'm running .37-SDK5 on an n66u and have no issues running dnscrypt off of the USB hd or streaming mp4 video via minidlna. Still, the network map page does show "no devices."
