    Interesting. I saw the Mediatek name mentioned in a proposed Open WRT router. But if ASUS already has a cool-running router maybe good to try the Asus TUF AX4200? OpenWRT wants to offer its own router

    Why not use one 120mm USB Noctua? Runs quiet. You may also want to consider a cheap USB standing fan aimed at the rear of the router. That or put the router on a laptop cooling pad.

    Very interesting. The Asus TUF line is known for being well designed and rugged. It may be the solution to the overheating problems with other Asus routers: "The vent location and double heatsink design improve cooling for increased stability..."
