Everything was great, until it wasn't. RT-BE88U wifi issues.

I recently started having issues with my Ecobee stat losing connection. I have a relatively new AX86U Pro but I am thinking of going back to my ancient AC68U because of the wacky things that I am experiencing and the posts of others having issues.

Capturing Traffic: PlayStation issue on one ISP

I guess congestion is a possibility... but I tried it all different hours and it never works.

Capturing Traffic: PlayStation issue on one ISP

Thanks for the input. I tried various DNS. Normally, I have the CleanBrowsing Safe DNS on my WAN side. I tried others including Frontier's and Google. Same result. Also, I played with the DNS in the connection settings of the PlayStation without any success. I also tried resetting the WAN...

Capturing Traffic: PlayStation issue on one ISP

After switching to Frontier fiber, I recently discovered that I cannot do online multiplayer with one of the games. It fails without an error code going into multiplayer. I thought it might be my new RT-AX86U Pro but when I tried my old RT-AC68U, it failed on that also. Using my phone as a...

Editing DNS in the manual DHCP assignments vs. DNS Director

Yea, I was thinking I would probably end up doing it from the stat. I'll see what options it offers. Thanks.

Editing DNS in the manual DHCP assignments vs. DNS Director

Hmmm... is there a way I can achieve my goal?

Editing DNS in the manual DHCP assignments vs. DNS Director

What is the difference between these two options? I see that I can assign (1) DNS server to a specific client in both these options. My goal is to assign a Primary and Secondary DNS server to a smart thermostat while having all my other devices use the DNS I have configured in the WAN -...

    Port change on RT-AC68U 386.2_4

I changed a couple things on that page after going from 384 to 386 and I didn't have this problem. I enabled and disabled SSH. I also disabled and enabled LEDs.

After Upgrade To 386, Thought Database Maintenance Was Done And Rebooted The Modem - No Internet Now

Well, after 24 hours, it was still non-responsive. I unplugged it and let the power drain for little bit and plugged it back in. When it came back up, I was able to get back in and traffic was flowing again. I'm debating if I want to do a hard reset now since everything appears to be working...

After Upgrade To 386, Thought Database Maintenance Was Done And Rebooted The Modem - No Internet Now

Thanks. I figure I'll wait till tomorrow afternoon before I hard reset it. That will be over 30 hours since I did the 386 upgrade. My gut feeling is it won't come back. After the upgrade and prior to the reboot, I was getting internet and accessing the gui. Now I can't do either. Rebooting...

After Upgrade To 386, Thought Database Maintenance Was Done And Rebooted The Modem - No Internet Now

Thanks. I'll wait and see what happens. If I reset it, can I flash it with the 384.19 again so I can import my backup? I have so many settings (DHCP static assignments, etc) that it wouldn't want to have to redo it all.
