    Wifi5 + Adaptive QOS + OpenVPN + Reliable

Thanks though I don't get it... there isn't a single router with these features except for Asus ? What do people do to reduce latency for gaming/streaming if they don't use an Asus router?

Not necessarily built in the western world, but designed by a company from the western world.

    Wifi5 + Adaptive QOS + OpenVPN + Reliable

I'm looking for a router with WiFi 5 (I don't need WiFi 6, so I save some money) which also has these features: * Adaptive QOS (to reduce latency, for gaming etc.) - similar to what Asus routers have. * OpenVPN. * Reliable. * Made by a company from the Western world. (Not necessarily built...

Increasing cellular reception with passive antenna

I understand - it is about the interference with other signals which makes the cable to be a bad choice in my case. Though, assuming that my cellular device is using frequency 800MHz - which is reserved for cellular transmission only - then why would I get interference in this frequency band...

Increasing cellular reception with passive antenna

Yeah though the losses are minimal - the cable itself should introduce a loss of about 4db @ 1GHz & room temperature (considering cable length). I think I understand the reason - impedance mismatch. The omni-antenna should be terminated with 75Ohm, i.e. the impedance of the RG6 cable. Well...

Upgraded LAN - getting 100Mbps instead of 1Gbps

As far as I know, this is not required. In my case, I wanted to get 1Gbps and Cat5e allows it. Therefore, I should've get 1Gbps despite of using a CAT6 connectors. So, my entire network is considered Cat5e. But, if you want a CAT6 network - then it is preferred that all (cables & connectors)...

Upgraded LAN - getting 100Mbps instead of 1Gbps

Could you please recommend of a cheap RJ45 cable tester from Amazon or eBay? I don't want to fall short (which mostly happens in cheap products). My needs from a RJ45/Ethernet tester are: Able to measure a cable which its ends are in two different distant rooms. Able to measure for a valid...

Increasing cellular reception with passive antenna

I wish to increase cellular reception with a passive antenna. I noticed that some areas in my home have cellular reception below (-100dbm) which is extremely low. There's a table which specifies the dbm levels and their meaning...

Upgraded LAN - getting 100Mbps instead of 1Gbps

I upgraded my wired network in my home: Prepared "patch cables" by myself which connect between a RJ45 Female plug to a device (RJ45 Male to Male connection). Prepared "port-to-port cables" (within the walls) which have RJ45 Female to Female plug. The network connection is successful in all...
