Performed dirty upgrade on my AX11000 and had issues with re-establishing WAN link after reboot. If I disabled it and re-enabled the WAN, it would slowly but eventually re-establish. Did not have the issue with 388.1. Also experienced the slow response to the AI_Mesh page (10-12 seconds to...
I had to delete it from the mesh at the router, then I could do the upgrade. I believe it was seeing the code on my router as being incompatible with the 386.9 code during the upgrade (my router is an GT-AX11000 on 388.1). It gave some message about the code during the upgrade but I didn't...
Can you provide any details of your setup?
I found that my RT-AC5300 did not want to update while being a mesh node. I had to remove it from the mesh, upgrade it, then readd it to the mesh.
When trying to upgrade it while in the mesh, it displayed the same as you are reporting.
I use the AX11000 with two NordVPN tunnels mapped with the VPN Director to specific hosts. Although I do not do much with torrents, I use it for safe streaming and other browsing. No issues and seems to not leak any info. I'm on the new 388.1 code.
Report on the RT-AC5300:
Although I did not have an issue dirty flashing from the Alpha to the Beta - Just like when I went from the old release to the Alpha, it would not let my dirty flash the firmware from the Beta to the 386.9 release. It would say it was completed, but it would also say...
Just to report, I was able to dirty flash my meshed RT-AC5300 to the 386.9 Beta1 without issue and it's staying stable.
When I tried the alpha, dirty flashing it would say it was successful but it never actually uploaded the new code or changed the reported release version. I ultimately had...
Thanks for the RT-AC5300. Some feedback:
Tried to dirty flash while part of my mesh and although it said it was successful, the router did not see the new code version. Soft rebooted and same situation (Note: I did not hard reboot by removing power). Wound up removing it from the mesh and...
Hmm.... I have three devices that use this SSID (I use it for my IOT stuff). I do have them in my static IP list (legacy list that I've just never changed) but the static listed there is in the standard range, not the elevated one of Guest 1. The router has historically ignored that static...
Updated to -2 for both AC5300 and GX11000. Upgrade went well but same issue with Guest 1 exists (haven't tried the VPN one). Current settings on 2.4 Guest 1:
Hide SSID: Yes (note tried it both ways)
SSID Name: HM_Reserve1
Authentication Method: WPA/WPA2-Personal
WPA Encryption: AES
Access...
Installed on my AX11000 and my AC5300 which are meshed with AX11000 as the main router. No issues with the upgrade on my AC5300 (was running Merlin's previous version). On the AX11000, I first tried a dirty migration and found many of the graphics and such didn't update (had a weird mix of ROG...
