On beta4 I’m seeing a Big improvement in wireless speeds on the AX86u. 100 mbps faster on downloads on 5 GHz. Maxing out my gig connection now on my Wi-Fi 6 client, moving from 820 mbps (on betas 2 and 3, beta1 was far better) to 933 mbps down. Fastest speed I’ve ever seen from my Wi-Fi 6 client...

Hello. I would like to report a performance regression. 386.1 Beta 2 and beta 3 has Wi-Fi 6 performance regression on the ax86u. On stock asus firmware as well as 386 beta 1, I’m getting 920+ mbps down (speed test on two different Wi-Fi 6 clients, about 8 feet from the router). However...

    [Thread-1] [ 386.1_Alpha Build(s) ] Testing available build(s)

Gentlemen, After years of deliberations the FCC last week adopted new rules for the 5.9 GHz (5.850-5.925 GHz) band, which for 20 years has been left largely unused by its previous occupant, the automotive industry (for DSRC). The lower 45 MHz of spectrum will now be reallocated to Wi-Fi, which...

AX86U WiFi breaks on Channel 100?

If you’re using 160 MHz channels then channel 100 is really using up channels 100-128. But in the USA and some other areas around the world, the weather band is channel 120-128. Meaning you’re using up the channels that weather operators use for RADAR. And if the router “detects” radar in this...

    2 RT-AX86u aimesh

Also, ASUS just released a new firmware for this model that claims to have improved stability. Have you upgraded? I have a ax86u in media-bridge mode (receive wireless signal and convert it to lan) and it has been up for days no need for reboots.
