    I do use napp-it and the above tuning settings have been suggested by Gea and others in another forum without success. I guess I need to go through Gea's tuning manual with a toothcomb and try different setting until I hit the right spot.

    The DMA setting I guess would be under the PCIE slot settings where the NIC is installed? I will give it a go this week end and see if there are any improvements. In the mean time hopefully I will get more suggestions from someone with a similar set up using the Intel X540 T2.

    I always reset the router to default when uploading a new firmeware, I did have minimal setting when testing, I am not too worried about my Wifi downloads and uploads, the variance is with a wired connection, Wifi connection are good. Thanks for your help.

    I would sujest you do a thorough research on your controller or Raid system you're using before you start deleting volumes, you don't want to loose all of your precious data.

    How do you use a NAS?

    I am in the process of setting up my NAS, so it's not working yet, I would say that you organise your files as you would on any computer use folders and name then accordingly. You can then share these folders via your network and allow/ restrict access to users as you see fit. Hope this helps.
