Release ASUS RT-AC86U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.386.51255

I am seeing random 2.4GHz low bitrate issues with this firmware with my IP cameras. Cams say 70%+ signal strength, but have zero or choppy frames. I reverted back to 3.0.0.4.386.48260. Will do more testing.

Release ASUS RT-AC86U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.386.48260

I evaluated the RT-AX86U PRO vs my current RT-AC86U. :D Firstly, the wired Ethernet issue is the same with the RT-AX86U PRO. The USB adapter was giving me 800+ Mbps, but now it's not getting past 200Mbps for some reason. I tried everything, even a new USB Ethernet adapter. No Joy. (Maybe...

Well, that's exactly my mood right now. :D My Asus router has issues, one of the armrests on my favorite desk chair broke off this week and now my (new, only 1 year old), Samsung QN90A TV has a large dark area on the screen. (Samsung says the warranty expired Jan 2023) o_O I don't really want...

Release ASUS RT-AC86U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.386.48260

I spoke too soon. I checked the speeds one hour later and they degraded back to around 200Mbps. Time to go back to Netgear?

Release ASUS RT-AC86U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.386.48260

Oh man. So I've been on 3.0.0.4.386_48260 for a few months. Today I noticed when I plugged my Note 22 Ultra into the Ethernet using a UNI Ethernet to USB-C adapter (and ran a speed test), it wouldn't go past 200 Mbps, sometimes not even 100Mbps (wired). I tried another android device that...

    RT AC86u / 3.0.0.4.386.41634 / Unknown mac's appearing

Also, why isn't there an import/export feature for Wireless MAC filter list by now? I have to paste 100 macs by hand every time I do full reset. Is there an easy ssh command line to export and import?

    ASUS RT-AC86U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.384_81351

Well, the hour I spent configuring the Netgear reminded me of why I left Netgear. The UI is old and very slow and every setting change/save takes 30+ seconds for the progress bar to finish loading. I do like the new attached devices page, it actually makes a very good attempt at correctly...
