    Thanks. Regarding your first point, indeed - It seems based on the newer design (see my other reply to L&LD), the 86U is probably the better bet for me.

    The good news: At home, we have Comcast gigabit internet and I am using a new Arris S33 (2.5 Gbps port) modem and a new Orbi RBK853 (2.5 Gbps WAN) mesh system.     Any other recommendations for router or wifi system? I will be going to visit them in a few weeks and will hook up the cable modem, router or wifi system and Ooma Telo. Then phase two (a different visit) will be getting them Tivo devices. Thanks for the feedback so far.
