I assumed it was out for the AX92U but I don't own one of those.. I am running a GT-AX11000 and RT-AC88U and that firmware released automatically through the firmware update function.. But the firmware problems don't just stop at the AX92U.. it seems whatever changes they made are happening...
Negative.. it's just me solo, I left everything mostly default - although I have a AiMesh Node.. and it's affecting the second node, not the primary (primary is a GT-AX11000) and the unit affected is the RT-AC88U (which is the only node). So assuming it could be some settings not being...
This firmware also broke my RT-AC88U's speed completely as well. The router reports high 500+ mb connections to devices but it seems like it's internally capped to 128mbit speeds.. iPerf testing shows it pegged right at 128mbit = 16 MB/sec .. Asus clearly doesn't test their own firmware :/
I get this issue on the latest firmware with the GT-AX11000 where the web GUI just stops responding.. seems like the webserver or whatever it is faults and crashes. A reboot fixes it but after a while it will crash again. Is there a command via SSH to restart the webGUI system?
Even with the ethernet backhaul already plugged in while adding the AiMesh Node it still set 5ghz-2 as a 'dedicated backhaul' and it still even states that's it dedicated when looking at the settings even though my "trick" seems to undedicate it completely. However, I doubt this "trick" works...
Just thought i'd throw something out there that worked for with my GT-AX11000 paired to a RT-AC88U with ethernet backhaul.. which caused my 5ghz-2 (third band) to be usable, but unable to use 160mhz and DFS channels. Asus likes to "disable" any technology that the slower/older AiMesh...
