Asus AiMesh causes almost no 2.4GHz throughput

LD500 - Correct. I thought it was weird that they pushed out an update for the TV with nothing for iOS. TV-OS used to be a stripped-down iOS. Guess they are now 2 truly different systems for Apple. Ozark - I hear you on the connected home stuff, it's taken my wife a while to come around to it...

Asus AiMesh causes almost no 2.4GHz throughput

LD500, as an FYI, I have not yet downgraded my firmware to 21140. HomeKit has seemed slightly more stable over the last 48 hours, since Apple pushed out the tvOS 12.0.1 update. My ATV is one of my 2 hubs (HomePod being the other) and is usually the primary while the HomePod is in standby. I...

Asus AiMesh causes almost no 2.4GHz throughput

Thank you, that's all very helpful information. I feel bad for blaming Apple! I'll do full factory resets to re-install 21140. Kind of frustrating since that's exactly what I did in July when I got the 86 and moved my 68 to be the Aimesh node. But everything was working back then, so I guess...

Asus AiMesh causes almost no 2.4GHz throughput

LD500, I am following your issue with great interest since for the last week I've been having exactly the same issue with my HomeKit devices. Items behind hubs wired to my router (Phillips Hue and Lutron Caseta) works fine all the time. Anything connected directly to the 2.4GHz band (VOCOLinc...

Thinking of switching to Merlin - 3 questions

Thank you, saintdev, that's very helpful. I don't have a switch (yet) but it's on its way from Amazon, so it's good to know that I won't see all the MAC addresses at once after I work the switch in. I didn't know that. I think I'll be putting Merlin's firmware on pretty soon. Thank again...

Thinking of switching to Merlin - 3 questions

Hi, all - first-time poster here. I have the AC68U with the latest stock Asus firmware. 3 nitpicky things bug me about it, and they haven't changed it in any release since the original version my router shipped with. I'm wondering if the Merlin version addresses these things: 1. Various areas...
