    ntpMerlin ntpMerlin v3.x

good points. Might be a fun project to use and old router and add a thermal sensor on, or close to, the timing circuit and then repeat the experiment. Sounds like a fun summer project for the kids! :)

Some data after 12 hours of no fan. Temp: avg 62 C (~ 37 C with fan), Offset avg 2.9 ms (0.09 ms with fan), drift avg 8.46 ppm (4.4 ppm with fan) From that very limited data sample, it looks like NTP offset and drift get worse with CPU temp. Again, very little data and lots of possible...

Good test. Won't be able to do that immediately, but will do so in the next day or so for 12 - 24 hours and see what the results are. I'll report back when I get some data.

yes, I have a fan on mine as stated. Without the fan, the CPU temps are in the 55C range.

Just to chime in, I see that same "saw tooth" pattern in my graphs (in all three 30, 7, 1 day views). I have a fan on my AX88U and the CPU temp stays between 37C and 40C pretty constantly throughout the day (with router use, i.e. me staring at all the pretty graphs, being the factor that drives...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.1 is now available

My expectations are very high, so I'll take that as "always hard reset" :)

So, is there any instance where upgrading FW does not require a Hard Reset?

    ntpMerlin ntpMerlin v3.x

@Jack Yaz Hello. I have an ooma telo device on my network. It would obtain an IP address, but never connect to the ooma network after I installed ntpMerlin. If I would switch off redirecting ntp requests to ntpMerlin, it would then connect to the ooma network. I then re-enabled handling the...

    ntpMerlin ntpMerlin v3.x

Yes, SSH would kick me out if those two options were selected in the GUI before attempting to install. Now the ntpd commands return [email protected]:/tmp/home/root# which ntpd /opt/sbin/ntpd [email protected]:/tmp/home/root# ntpd -c /jffs/addons/ntpmerlin.d/ntp.conf...

    ntpMerlin ntpMerlin v3.x

Hi, I was able to reproduce. *if* I have "enable local NTP Server" and "intercept ntp client request" set to true before installing, I get the above issue. I set both of these values to false, rebooted, then installed fresh. This seems to have worked. I get the Addons screen and a nice GUI...

    ntpMerlin ntpMerlin v3.x

Hi All, Tried to install this addon, but things went horribly wrong. I installed Entware that seems successful (although there does not seem to be an uninstall command in AMTM -- but that is a different story.). I then installed ntpmerlin and got the following in the syslog Feb 22 08:09:04...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.1 is now available

Over the weekend I played around with this problem and did not get very far with respect to a solution. I would disconnect and reconnect clients to see if the client list would auto update. Things I tried to see if I could get the client list to auto update: Action Result Comment...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.1 is now available

Perhaps. Can't withdraw at the moment to test. But if i get some low use time this weekend, I'll test it for an hour or so with clients powering on and off.

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.1 is now available

That is odd as we have the same model. I have an AIMesh environment. Maybe that has something to do with it?
