Double NAT causes all kinds of problems.
Why can't you bridge the modem? Just curious....
Next best thing to bridge mode is DMZ. But the DMZ needs to be done on the modem - not the router.
DMZ IP address needs to be the IP of your router.

Make sure all the USB access settings are correct (USB 2 or 3 setting, sharing permissions) etc...
Reboot the router and test again.
If you still can't access it then a full factory reset or re-flash might be needed.

Yep I completed the flash a few hours ago. All good.
Just been too busy to reply.
I noticed that the password was unusable so I reset it - just as you said.
Thanks mate.

Yeah I guess so.
At least the AC68U updated from stock Asus so that's good.
I'll try to flash v16 from recovery mode.
Cheers.

Ok @Merlin,
I'm stumped. I've removed mesh nodes and tried everything short of rescue mode.
Tried flashing previous release as well... Same error.
I guess they changed something in the latest AC88U official release?

I am Pablo11 :)
You already have a merlin fw on your mesh node.
I had Asus stock.
If you remove the AC68U from mesh you can upgrade it to latest version of Merlin by the usual method.
Because it is in mesh with the AX I think this might be easier for you.
I would recommend keeping both of...
You won't get the upload option because there is an official update waiting.
You can take that official update and then update to Merlin's version....
There are other ways but that's probably the easiest.
EDIT that's the merlin version in the update notice..... Ignore what I said above..lol...
No USB.
I can force it but I think it's better to see if anyone else has this issue.
Might just be a signature issue...

Hi Merlin,
Strangely, I'm getting a rejection of upgrade firmware on my 88U.
I was testing stock Asus fw yesterday and now it's refusing to allow flashing your fw...
I just flashed my 68U and no problem at all.. It also had stock Asus.
I've done this many times without issues but for now I...
