Yes...shouldn't have said "all". I see based on the link provided by @OzarkEdge that I should do so after a major version change or if required in the release notes. Thanks to everyone for answering my questions and improve my network.
I thought assigning fixed IP addresses to all devices on the network improve efficiency. Devices on the guest network are assigned IP addresses automatically in my setup.
I've checked for manual assignment errors but will double check again. I suspect it's the wi-fi thermostat.

Thanks....I may simplify my set up to assign fixed IP only to most critical elements such as NAS drives, extenders, switches, laptops, phones, tablets be assigned IP addresses dynamically. I had thought assigning fixed IP addresses to all device would be better for network efficiency.
Thanks however for all of our phone/tablets/computers, I've set them for fixed Private We-Fi. In addition, this behavior occurs for network switches and extenders that do not assign new MAC addresses.

Yes, both EX7000s have strong passwords to access the devices and all of my WiFi passwords are also strong (and different) from the devices. Thanks for confirming my understanding.
I recently received a notice from Netgear that the EX7000 has reached end of life and will no longer receive security updates. I run two EX7000s as wi-fi extenders for different parts of our house. Both are hard-wired into LAN ports on my router, Asus RT-AX88U, which handles NAT addressing on...
