SONOS and Guest Wifi issue - solved RT-AX88U Pro

I noticed that anytime I turned on my guest network, my sub and surround speakers that work with my Beam speaker would drop off and it was impossible to reconnect them for more than a couple of seconds. I realized that once I turned off the guest network, they would return online. Solution...

Renaming Devices in NetworkMap doesn't stick

I then restored the JFFS file and was able to edit the devices and remove them from static DHCP assignments etc. However, after a few hours I noticed I could no longer edit again.

Sonos and IoT on RT-AX88U PRO

I saw this on the SONOS website but there appear to be a lot of articles out there that suggest otherwise and since ASUS has included a dedicated VLAN for IoT does anyone know if it does indeed work with SONOS? Sonos products are compatible with most managed switches with some important...

Sonos and IoT on RT-AX88U PRO

Hi, I don't have my new RT-AX88U Pro yet but was just reading about the IoT guest VLAN network it has, which sounds great. However, I was wondering if SONOS systems should be connected to IoT network. If so, then how would you fire up the SONOS app on your phone or computer? I already have...

Renaming Devices in NetworkMap doesn't stick

No factory reset. I have too many settings I have configured. Don't want to mess with that. No addon scripts. Wireless router mode. Someone in this thread above suggested rolling back the firmware to 386.7_2 but am cautious about trying that.

Renaming Devices in NetworkMap doesn't stick

upgraded firmware to Merlin 386.12_4 but that did not fix the issue of not being able to make any changes to removing devices from manual IP settings or changing device names etc.

Renaming Devices in NetworkMap doesn't stick

Ok so now I notice that I cannot even remove manually assigned IPs from the DHCP table. It says applying settings but nothing changes and the devices I am trying to remove stay in the table. ???

Renaming Devices in NetworkMap doesn't stick

I just noticed that 386.12_4 Merlin FW is available. Does anyone know if that will help in this situation?

Upgrade ASUS Router and Keep Old ASUS Router settings and configurations?

Thanks for the detailed advice. Just to be clear, I would update the new router to the Merlin firmware I want to use Before I do a full reset?

Renaming Devices in NetworkMap doesn't stick

Oh yes, you are correct. How dyslexic of me. But even so, since I have 79233 / 131072 bytes of NVRAM then this is likely not the same cause in my case of not being able to rename?
