FlexQoS FlexQoS 1.3.2 - Flexible QoS Enhancement Script for Adaptive QoS

None. No changes. The AX58U handled its load properly, no fuss. IMHO the 1G>500M switch is the issue all in all. Edit: Or the AX86U actually is bugged as a couple of reputable posts have suggested. Edit 2: Might this be a hardware issue? Everything's looking normal, but this is a open-box unit.

FlexQoS FlexQoS 1.3.2 - Flexible QoS Enhancement Script for Adaptive QoS

I think there's a huge difference between the 500/50 and the 1000/50 uplink that I've switched to (AX58U vs AX86U) and I think it's the RT-AX86U, at least partially. Someone's trying to actually hit that 1G downstream and it's barely able to do so. The 500/50 line was at the limit of the AX58U...

FlexQoS FlexQoS 1.3.2 - Flexible QoS Enhancement Script for Adaptive QoS

Wow, even Steam limited to 40 MBit creates packetloss in TS3 Inbound; about 1% and holds there. Is something really wrong with the RT-AX86U? To be clear: QoS is off. Steam seems to open a huge amount of connections that it just can't cope with. Weird that it worked with the AX58U.

Looking for feedback from anyone that has gone from Merlin + Scripts to pfSense

Huh, so I can change the QoS classes' bandwidth limits from CLI on the fly? Last time I checked that wasn't possible.

Looking for feedback from anyone that has gone from Merlin + Scripts to pfSense

Is there a way to get the same functionality with pfSense that I get from spdMerlin's AutoBW for QoS? I'd even do it using the command line and script it myself, but it doesn't seem like that's possible for the traffic shaper, is it?

    RT-AX86U 2.5G LAN port errors

This is very helpful. I was beginning to think I had to ditch the 2.5G port, but if this doesn't affect LAN to LAN and WAN to LAN, then it should be fine. I'm using a 1G WAN connection which saturates the 1G connection to other devices on my network (streaming boxes), when under full bore...

    RT-AX86U 2.5G LAN port errors

Hmm, not sure this is the same thing. Using the 1G ports I can't reproduce the issue, only on the 2.5G one. I should see the same issues on the 1G ports if this was the same issue as the one you've described, right?

    RT-AX86U 2.5G LAN port errors

Hey, I've tested three cables so far on the 2.5G LAN port of my RT-AX86U (386.7_2), using iperf3 with 10 parallel streams. I'm seeing these errors on the router with all three cables (and about 1.24 GBit throughput only), when sending data from the AX86U: `iperf3 -c IP -P 10` on the router...

Cable Modem Diagnostics Page Scripts Blocked - In 386.7 and 386.7.1 only

It's cable/DOCSIS. Again, no idea, why, but after a WAN reconnect, setting this static route allows me to connect to my modem, which exclusively listens on 192.168.100.1.

Cable Modem Diagnostics Page Scripts Blocked - In 386.7 and 386.7.1 only

I've had this issue with the AX58U and the AX86U with the TC4400; the route gets lost somehow, pretty much independent of the firmware. I believe this is due to the WAN handling on the router. I'm not trying to tell you you're wrong, but how I've been able to circumvent this. (Re-) Apply the...

FlexQoS FlexQoS 1.3.2 - Flexible QoS Enhancement Script for Adaptive QoS

Sorry for driving this even more off-topic: Is there a good independent web interface for controlling stuff like SQM on x86 apart from booting a freebsd build?

FlexQoS FlexQoS 1.3.2 - Flexible QoS Enhancement Script for Adaptive QoS

Hmm. My home server is running a Ryzen 3800X anyways with 1G and 2.5G on board. That few iptables rules shouldn't be that complicated. Having the AX86U as a Wi-Fi provider seems obvious enough. I'm definitely sad to (maybe?) see you go, though.

FlexQoS FlexQoS 1.3.2 - Flexible QoS Enhancement Script for Adaptive QoS

Oh many do care, believe me. This is the forum people visit for guidance/inspiration. The one thing holding me back from going serious with routing is power consumption, and that's where our current offerings still excel IMHO. I can't build an SQM/cake capable mini x86 router for anything close...

FlexQoS FlexQoS 1.3.2 - Flexible QoS Enhancement Script for Adaptive QoS

Good enough for two stories on 142m² with minimum Wi-Fi signal of 4 bars (all of it's steel reinforced concrete, Germany). I'm discouraged by the QoS topic and ASUS's behaviour in the last couple of years.
