I did an upgrade via the web admin interface three days ago, 2 v1 XT8s, wireless back-haul, no issues to report. I have had many issues with older firmware versions on the same exact units in the past.
Only about 20min or so. The fact that a client wired directly into the secondary node lost connectivity to the primary node made me skeptical that anything other than a rollback or hard reset would work. Oddly enough the secondary node could still be pinged by any host on the network and showed...
I tried this firmware version and experienced the same problem described here with 3.0.0.4.388.21617. Wireless devices won't connect to the secondary node, and a wired device on the secondary node can't reach the primary node. According to the admin interface, the backhaul is "Great". I tried...
I tried this new firmware, dirty upgrade from 21099, confirmed all nodes are v1 hardware. Mesh setup with two nodes, wireless backhaul, primary node and modem downstairs and secondary node upstairs. Immediately after upgrading, a device wired into the secondary node experienced sustained packet...
I just tried upgrading to 46061 from 42095 and have the same problem I mentioned in this post. I have significant packet loss happening between the client and router, only when using Macbook Pros. No problems when rolling back firmware or using other device types.
I tried this firmware update and still get significant packet loss within the network only on two MacBookPros as described in this post. Downgraded back to 42095 again. I still have a support ticket open with ASUS, but they have yet to respond with anything helpful.
I have been experiencing similar problems, packet loss (20-70%) when simply pinging the main node or mesh node directly from a client (not going to the internet at all). I have ASUS XT8 with one mesh node and wireless backhaul. I opened up a case with ASUS and provided them detailed logs and...
