wow. Did you run first with 80mw to establish base readings for comparison? I would be very much interested in your test results. Thanks.

Effect of using a WIFI network on NAS performance?

If you only have wireless then the statement is true. Wired connections can benefit from 80-100Mbps file transfers or even more. This is based on the performance of the QNAP 259 pro+.

Can't find my NAS on other computers

Sorry I really dont see anything wrong with the screen shot. I have a mapped drive to the QNAP NAS which I use when I watch via WIFI from my laptop. Can you create a mapped drive from the laptop?

Can't find my NAS on other computers

Definitely strange. I dont have issues connecting via the QNAP android app from my phone. In the QNAP android app I set the address to <WAN IP>:<port number>. Once connected I can stream movies from my phone either WIFI or 3G.

Can't find my NAS on other computers

I too have a QNAP NAS attached to the N66U with no issues. I would suggest that you manually set the LAN IP to a fixed IP and make sure that you have port forwarding set for the multimedia port.

ASUS RT-N66U Dark Knight Dual-Band Wireless-N900 Gigabit Router Reviewed

Great job on the testing. I too had samba sharing on with USB. Turning samba off works with nat loopback and port fwd fix with .102

    ASUS RT-N66U - my review

I'm thinking Asus found a problem here without an immediate solution hence they pegged the limit to 4.

    ASUS RT-N66U - my review

I now get the error "This table only allow 4 items" when manually assigning IP around the DHCP list. I used to be able to list more than 4 with previous fws.

    ASUS RT-N66U - my review

Exactly the same here. NAT loopback and port forward only works when no USB drive attached.

    ASUS RT-N66U - my review

I think you are correct in your general assessment that the crux of the problem is with the nat loopback and port fwd fix. Can you please fwd this to asus as I am not getting a response from my email. Thanks in advance.
