    RT-AX88U snmpd - mini Guide

It appears as though the one person in this thread who has managed to get mini_snmpd 1.6-3 working does not wish to be contacted and while I completely respect that decision, I'd also like to get 1.6-3 working correctly but do not have the necessary specific CLI know-how to both clean up the...

@Chiny91 Could I send you a PM re 1.6-3 and PeakHour, please?

Not really sure where to start with troubleshooting this, any help/pointers greatly appreciated, thank you!

Thanks for this! Just to clarify, do we need to delete or otherwise edit any of the other stuff in this file? I've removed the comment from the last line but no go. Edit: from my router log: admin: Failed to start mini_snmpd from /jffs/scripts/post-mount.

    RT-AX88U snmpd - mini Guide

As per my recent posts in the main release thread, confirming that exactly as the above happened to me after upgrading to 386.1 - I stupidly left the USB key in.

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.1 is now available

Is there any way I can inspect the drive to determine what is or isn't there and/or restart SNMP please?

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.1 is now available

Quite possibly a silly error on my part here (upgrading late at night, on flu medication :/) went from 384.19 to 386.1, left JFFS USB in place - forgot to remove it prior to flashing - was using it for SNMP.. do I need to redo it now? Also, I note that database maintenance etc happens on first...

AX88U - Red WAN light, GUI says disconnected, have IP address, actually online

Back up and going to a point, USB plugged back in, SNMP going again, really bugged by whatever caused this knocking out connectivity to most of my LAN and changing DNS' (from a set up that was working fine) being the only fix. Is there a connectivity check the Asus does I'm not getting here...

AX88U - Red WAN light, GUI says disconnected, have IP address, actually online

I'll certainly look into it, for the moment I'd just like to get my set up back to how it was or as close to it, if possible. Am I ok, to shut down the router, reinsert the USB and restart now? Sorry, if it seems I'm being overcautious here, again, I have no idea why this happened all of a...

AX88U - Red WAN light, GUI says disconnected, have IP address, actually online

IPV6 wasn't turned on in my case. Changed to Cloudflare DNS' exclusively as suggested and WAN IP is now displayed and red WAN LED is now white, as it should be. Two questions: 1/ Why? What happened? Literally nothing changed. 2/ How am I supposed to use my existing PiHole now?

My settings are as attached.. my PiHole install (unRAID docker) and Google for failover.. should I still change them?

AX88U - Red WAN light, GUI says disconnected, have IP address, actually online

Hi all, Did a dirty flash from 384.18 to .19 shortly after it was released, no issues whatsoever. Was running amtm for SNMP via a USB drive, again, no issues. Fast forward to an hour ago, no changes to config at all, access to things on my LAN starts dropping off, try a few pings which fail...

Does any one know if this code can be made to implement 64bit counters for SNMP on the RT-AX88U and similar? https://github.com/ndmsystems/mini_snmpd Thanks!

Thanks for your help - I was midway fudging my way through when you replied. Thought it best to just dive in the deep end and see how I went. The biggest difficulty I had, never having done CLI stuff before, was actually creating the file. Now up and going on both Networx and PeakHour. Can I...

    RT-AX88U snmpd - mini Guide

Hi all, Thanks for this thread, have recently come back to Asus and Merlin after my old Synology router died. I was lucky/spoilt in that the previous Merlin FW and hardware I was running years ago meant SNMP was built in and needed no configuration. I'm therefore unfamiliar with Entware...
